I just never have had any problem with being treated fairly for any of Lola's claims.
I just never have had any problem with being treated fairly for any of Lola's claims. It is a pleasure dealing with Trupanion. Our latest claim was for a surgery Lola had to have and everything we expected regarding coverage was paid so we were and always are able to budget our costs based on the Trupanion coverage. This sounds like the same old same old but in this case I can honestly say I would recommend Trupanion to any pet owner for the way they conduct their business, their professionalism, and ultimately for the care they show our pet through the coverages they provide. I should add that within three days of any claim being received the share Trupanion pays is in my bank account and I find the premiums reasonable given the coverages they provide.. I wish my own group insurance was this good !!!

10/10 Customer Service
I would just like to share the amazing experience I had today with Janelle Sorenson. She was not only super professional and honest but also kind and super-efficient. I'm currently in the process of switching my pet insurance and I'm confident that I'm doing a good choice.

Terrible, unreliable, profits > ethics, sad, questionable tech architecture/design
Dishonest, zero-integrity, low ethical standard, profits > ethics, contradicts themselves, and quite frankly are not "fair" like they preach in their ABOUT section of website. To start I have learned that Trupanion never makes mistakes... if they do, it's the customer's fault. My vet initialized an offer certificate for me, and I received 0 emails from Trupanion concerning an offer code to sign up or anything about Trupanion. I spoke to support, who told me that Trupanion sends an email after they have an initialized request from the vet. Then I learned that they have never had a bug in Trupanion systems, and the email therefore had to be delivered successfully. Also, fun fact, I learned that they "do not store any trace of emails sent out with offer code or anything"; as a result, it had to be be delivered to me.. If needed, I would love to forward anyone/everyone the chat logs where this is stated. This is not a rant, this is an honest question: do you really not store emails that are sent out with offer activation codes? I feel like this is irresponsible and kind of dumb and I am curious, how do you know that an offer code is valid, is that stored, but the email is just assumed to have work? I think this is a major assumption if so.. Am I really the first person to not receive an offer code email, which support kindly told me was the case? It has basically always gone out, not even 1 failed send request ever? Please say this is false, and just look up the email if it was sent, and we can be proactive. I also looked and they currently have 14 job postings for "Senior Software Engineer". I hope that one of the 14 new-hires will address this issue, and potentially build out a temporarily storage of sent emails, but I also want to ask: why are you hiring more people if it's perfect, and has never errored out? The zero bug, reliable, no mistake Trupanion team also has "2021" as their copyright date when you sign into the website which is located on the lower left hand corner of each authenticated user page, but it's 2022.. They make no mistakes though. Please don't tell me to reach out to support. I was told when I asked these questions that I was being unproductive, and I was disconnected. Ask yourself this Trupanion.. Are you perfect, is there even the smallest chance that you might have a tiny bug in your email triggering/sending/offer activation structure, and that I, a paying customer, am not making this up? Financially, I literally save $0 from this. My companion has zero issues, I just want the situation to be handled ethically, and other people in the future to be treated with respect and not taken advantage of. Just curious, have you ever pressed "forgot password" and not receive the email until you pressed it again.. Does not happen all the time or frequently, but I bet it has happened minimum 1 time in your life. -- Edit: I just sent over my additional information through the TrustPilot link I was sent.

I do have a dog with pre existing…
I do have a dog with pre existing conditions. And I fully understand that if he falls ill due to one of those conditions it wont be covered. For those of you who have been denied, please make sure your vet is reporting the incident correctly! For example, my dog had a cyst on the back of his neck prior to Trupanion, it was removed. Recently we discovered a ball (tumor like) under his jaw. it was sent in as a growth on the neck and denied. However after correcting that it wasnt on the neck, but rather under the jaw and a different case, they retracted and covered it. So please be sure to reach out to them. Their customer service is top notch!
