Renee was extremely knowledge about the subject we were discussing. It was regarding a claim. The way the invoice came from the vet was very confusing. So I wanted to give someone a head's up of what they should be expecting when I sent the claim over. She assured me she would make a note of what we discussed so when the claim came in it would be easier for the adjuster to review and understand. Overall Renee was great and Trupanion has been great in stepping up to every "ballgame" so to speak.

The claim was processed very quickly from my vetenerian s office. I received a confirmation of coverage within a few minutes.

While I understand that insurance companies exist to turn a profit, their earnings come from providing a service. I was heartily disappointed that Maggie's claim was denied, twice, because the (known) ingested item is not "toxic," but "an irritant", despite its doing liver damage to the tiny animal. I get the impression that any claim I submit will be denied for some technicality. The event was an accidental ingestion in that it harmed the dog. I had the "pet owners' peace of mind" offered is promotional materials up until the moment I learned of the denial. Now I know that profits trump pets and I will stop recommending Pets Best.

My Peanut recently had a bout of aspiration pneumonia, and was complicated by all the smoke from recent fires. I am fortunate that the vets I have chosen have been wonderful. I have been happy with the reimbursement from Nationwide and have found that supplying records along with the itemized receipt and claim form hastens that process. However, my dog is older and has arthritis. Of course I use wellness supplements as well as one RX med, but would hope that some day Nationwide would not have a pre-existing condition clause on their policies

No one is ever prepared for a worst-case scenario so when we got the diagnosis of lymphoma for our cat Sugar we were devastated. With her being so young 5 years old we knew we had to give her a fighting chance. With Embrace we were able to have the Peace of Mind to worry about her comfort and not so much the cost. They have been wonderful and have responded to any and all questions. This is something we will be dealing with for a while and Embrace is making it as easy as possible.

I had VPI for several years with a couple of other dogs that I've had. I decided that Bandit, our Rotti/Dobie mix might also be a good candidate for pet Insurance. When I went to look up VPI, I found that Nationwide Pet Insurance had taken their place. After getting a quote, I decided that Bandit should get pet insurance. I bought one of the best plans, pays 90% on almost everything after 100.00 deductible per year. Boy, I can't say enough good things about turn around time on payments and was surprised after a surgery he had, we paid approx. 200.00 out of 3950.00 I am glad to recommend Nationwide and tell all my friends about it!! The monthly payments vary depending on age of dog, but Believe me, it's well worth it. He's healthy and very happy :) :)
