all items as outlined in the policy…
all items as outlined in the policy were very detailed and explicit. The welcome follow up call from your rep was an added bonus. I feel very confident that we selected the best pet insurance carrier for our new pups needs.

Delays in Processing and Paying Claims
I have a sick cat and have to take him to the vet on multiple occasions. All of the past five claims I filed were delayed in processing, beyond the timeframe Petsbest promised. On top of that, all of the payments were 2-5 days later than the dates Petsbest promised payment. This was not due to the post office as they were direct deposits in my bank account. Let me clarify, over the past five years the claims processing times have gone from 5-9 days to 21-25 days and for every claim I submitted over the past year, I received an email saying there was a delay in processing my claim and it took an extra 5 days on average to receive payment. This is not a bank processing issue, but a Pet's Best processing issue!

Stay away from Trupanion Insurance - They don't care.
Trupanion states that they cover "90% of all unexpected injuries and illnesses" including hereditary and congenital conditions, but this is false advertising. We rescued a puppy with a congenital condition and did not know the extent of her disease before adopting her. Trupanion has refused to cover any related expenses since this congenital condition is a "preexisting condition" and has left us paying thousands for her most recent hospitalization. We are deeply disappointed with how deceiving this insurance company is and how they do not actually care to help out in a time of need.

I’ve been using PetsBest for the past year & they're true to their insurance policies. I love the fact that the return process is fairly quickly. I will continue to use them for my dog and any other future dogs if I buy one in the future.
