I am very disappointed in Trupanion.
I am very disappointed in Trupanion. We have filed 2 claims and neither were covered for my 1 year old puppy. We are struggling to decide to continue or dump the insurance and put our money away. I am particularily disappointed in a denial of claim for an ear infection that was caused by swimming and NOT a previous condition

Trupanion provides a peace of mind!
Having insurance has eased the burden financially and they direct billing at our hospital is an amazing service. We lost our other dog, Charlie at age and we didn't have any insurance and spent almost $20,000. I will always recommend trupanion and we will always have it on our pets.

Not much is covered
As much as my deductible is low. You don't cover most services and do not pay enough to make it worth it. Stuck with the insurance as long as my pup was with me but will choose other coverage and recommend other as well.

customer service was not nice didn't matter who I spoke to.
customer service was not nice, didn't matter who I spoke to. also, incredibly expensive compared to other plans and when I called to see if there was a way to lower my monthly fee, she actually laughed and told me it was going way UP because I had moved from CA to FL. Told me it was "my fault" for moving to the most expensive place for pet insurance in the country. uh, yeah - -I'm OUT.

I have had Trupanion for over a decade. Thanks to them, I have never NOR WILL ever have to make decisions about the health of my boys based on finances. You cannot put a price on that peace of mind.

Help in a time of crisis
During a very stressful time in my life with my sweet Roxi being diagnosed with cancer the very last thing I would need would be to have concerns about taking care of her. Having this insurance has allowed me to focus on her care without worrying about the cost. There is enough stress with Covid ,me being 70 with COPD. Knowing that they are there to help has made it so much easier for us both. She is thankfully doing well on her meds and I'm so very happy I could afford to get all that she needed.
