I think everyone is nice, but feel all I have accomplished is adding many more payments monthly to the insurance and have not received any benefits. so perhaps I am just paying for others to get their rebates. I will keep trying and luckily I have a 14 year old dog that is basically still healthy.

Every person I’ve ever dealt with at Trupanion has always gone above and beyond. Erin was just the latest in a long list of amazing people I’ve dealt with at Trupanion. If human health insurance companies had half the bedside manner and compassion as Trupanion: our health care system would be far more equitable, and Americans would be far happier and healthier. In such a stressful time, when our pup & cat sons and daughters have to undergo surgery or have a serious health issue, the last thing us parents should have to or need to worry about, especially in this economy and this pandemic, is “How am I going to pay for this?” It’s not a question of IF — it’s a question of HOW, because we love our fur babies and would do anything for them. With that being said, I’m eternally grateful for discovering Trupanion, and I refer it to *every* dog parent I meet, whether I know them or not. Trupanion’s coverage is fair and clear, claims are processed quickly, and most importantly: every person on the Trupanion team is kind and patient. I can’t stress that last part enough. God willing, you will never need to use pet insurance — but the peace of mind that comes with having Trupanion is priceless. God bless you all and thank you for being there for me and my baby, always.

You’re not in Cali anymore you’re a little out of range pricing wise but I feel for those in Florida .
You’re not in Cali anymore , you’re a little out of range pricing wise but I feel for those in Florida .. it’s double . There’s a lot of complaint you deny claims left and right . I put thousands into this plan and got nada out of it . I always erred in the side of caution but I feel maybe there were better options .

Great service and experience
Willow has been diagnosed with entropion and has experienced ulceration in both eyes. She required surgery and a canine ophthalmologist was contacted and the surgery was done. She is recovering and Healthy Paws was great and paid the claim(s) promptly. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants pet insurance.

Rates even with only minor claims have tripled over 5 years and I can't afford to terminate as my dog grows older.
Should have looked for plan with more level or stable rates. Rates tripled over 5 years. Was told rates next year will go up another $40/month and even more every following year. If I cancel now I lose the thousands I've already payed in premiums and have no coverage for any future claims. You're attracted by the low first year premiums but hold on for the later increases. Wish I never started. Self funding is still the best long term policy.

Not worth it
Pets Best used to be a great insurer. They were so quick at processing claims and the customer service was exceptional - you could always get an answer within the same day, often the same hour (via phone, email, or chat). However, last year things started to get bad. Claims are still very easy to submit! But, my rates jump considerably every year, and claims processing now take over a month. At first, they blamed it on COVID-19, but now that is just how long it takes. I have had claims denied and they will not respond to my attempts to understand why. In fact, the only way to get ahold of them is to call an 877 number and sit on hold for hours, or to submit a response to their chat operator (which never operates) and to never receive a response. I would cancel my policy today but I am still waiting for them to process a claim I submitted weeks ago which I do not want to jeopardize. I would not recommend Pets Best to any pet owner. You will pay much too much for far too little.

There when you need it.
Bodhi, our 8 year old toy poodle, has been insured with healthy paws since he was 6 months old. A year ago we got the devastating news that Bodhi had developed Diabetes, and would most likely need cataract surgery. In the year since his diagnosis, he has had a number of veterinary tests, as well as cataract surgery in both eyes. Healthy Paws has been fantastic in helping to pay for these procedures - and was very communicative throughout. A common complaint is the fact that premiums increase every year (ours have doubled in the 8 years since we took the insurance out) - but to us it's completely worth it since they have been so good at paying for Bodhi's health . We wholeheartedly recommend Healthy Paws - like all insurance - you hope you never have to claim - but it is nice knowing they will come through for you when you need it.
