I chose the score because I have had my dogs and my cats insured with Trupanion since the year 2000. They have helped me out anytime I needed help. And I already do recommend Trupanion to everybody I talk to that has a pet. In my opinion, Your pet is part of your family. And your family is already insured through healthcare. Why not insure your pet So that when, or if, the time ever comes that your pet gets sick and you cannot afford the cost of veterinary care, Trupanion will be there for you like you are there for your children. Your pets love you unconditionally, now it’s time to show that you love them unconditionally too.

I understand the policy and benefits especially the lifetime deductibles per condition. My 2 year old Coton Du Tulear has some Orthopaedic issues which will require radiography under anesthesia. Depending on the results he may need treatments over the course of his lifetime that will be paid out at 90% after the vet visit. This is peace of mind that I will be able to provide any future treatments without concern of the cost. My previous dog had complications from double knee surgery. Instead of a $10,000 bill I owed $1,500. The decision to do the surgery was based on whether it made sense for Sidney and not the cost. Having Trupanion saved his life and he got to live another 27 months. We had bonus time with his thanks to Trupanion. If you want to post I can share my dogs picture with you.

Life-saver
I've had pets and livestock for 40 years. After I lost my beloved companion to cancer this past January and going through 8 mos of chemo with him, I knew I was going to look opt for pet insurance for any pets I adopted in the future. When we adopted Lulu, our COVID baby, I thoroughly researched multiple insurance companies. I chose Healthy Paws because of their customer rating and price. I couldn't be happier. After the initial set-up with the vet, I can submit claims from my phone in 2 mins. They respond within 24hr, sometimes within the hour. And I'm reimbursed by direct deposit within 3-5 days. If only human insurance worked as well.
