Extremely helpful and personable staff.

Extremely helpful and personable staff. Every time I have a question, they are always informed and know how to explain complex or confusing things in a very straightforward manner. I had a recent call with a personnel named Kane D. I had called with the intent to cancel coverage for my dog as I am a student and costs are a bit high during the school year. However, he listened, asked questions, and shared some of his own experience about how he has navigated insurance costs and deductibles. I ended up increasing my deductible and still have peace of mind that I have Finnigan covered if anything should happen. I didn’t feel at all coerced or forced, I could sense that he and the company cared for the well-being of my dog and me! I am absolutely thrilled with this outcome and I always come away feeling like I have greater support and understanding.

Good premium price for my two cats, good customer service, quick reimbursement for covered expenses. Removes the worry about expensive vet bills when my cats get sick or injured.

New customer!

Joe was so wonderful to speak with! He was super helpful and knowledgeable and I didn’t feel forced to sign up or like he was a sales person trying to get my money! He was extremely kind and helpful and I had a great experience!

Scam on Premium Increases

I purchased a Healthy Paws policy because the company said it only raises premiums to keep up with increasing cost of veterinary care. Unfortunately my policy has increased each year for the last five years well beyond increases in the cost of veterinary care. Most recently, my policy increased 35% in one year. I will never purchase Healthy Paws again and am going to switch my younger dog who doesn’t have preexisting conditions.

Embrace Insurance claims are easy

I have had Embrace Insurance for my Pomeranian since he was 10 weeks old. He is now 9 years old. The claims are easy to complete and reimbursement is quick. Granted premiums increase as your pet ages, but that is expected since more illness occur with age. That being said, it is nice to be able to get all or most of the vet costs reimbursed. I have been very happy with the customer service and the monthly newsletters I get from them on how to keep my pet healthy.

Not overly happy with coverage

I was unaware that an emergency consultation was no covered which was very expensive. I am seriously thinking of cancelling. I will discuss with my vet when I go in for my follow up.

Mostly satisfied, somewhat dissatisfied.

I am grateful for my decision to buy pet insurance for the first time. I've had a lot of pets and never done it before, but experience has proven that it's a good idea, especially with a new puppy! I am, however, disappointed that our recent "emergency visit" fees were considered "exam fees" and therefore not covered. It seems like an unethical loophole being taken. How do you take a dog in for a legitimate emergency and not expect the vet to exam all parts of her to assess the full scope of her injuries? I know and understand that routine care is not covered, but the er visit due to trauma is far from routine and exactly what I bought insurance for. I am quite upset that the full trauma fees are not covered. On a positive note, the speed at which most of my claims were addressed is appreciated, and the direct deposit payment is very convenient. There is one outstanding claim that I have no idea why it's been "pending" for nearly 2 weeks now. Some info regarding Trupanion's questions would be appreciated, and if they called me, perhaps I could be helpful...
