Coverage.
While Trupanion helps greatly with my pet’s meds, the annual checkup is expensive & not covered at all. Wish something could be arranged to help with that.

The people are wonderful and responsive. The settlement on the claims were fair and fast. I gave it an 8 because it is not cheap. It is great to have when you have a problem like mine, surgery to remove a mass, but I sure pay for the coverage. But, as I said in the beginning, the people were great, the claims were paid out without debating and payment was issued quickly. You get what you pay for.

So Grateful for Trupanion Insurance
We have had Trupanion insurance for our 10 year old Pomeranian since 4 months of age. So happy we decided to go with this company. During the past 4 months Rusty has been dealing with a very serious condition that has required constant Vet care and hospitalization for critical care. I have been submitting bills weekly and Trupanion has paid quickly which has reduced stress due to financial concerns. Well worth what we have paid over the years in monthly premiums. Would not be without insurance for my beloved Pet.

I've been with Healthy Paws for over a decade.
I've been with Healthy Paws for over a decade. Until they decided to allow a corporate takeover and now it has been destroyed. I will try Trupanion for awhile to see if this company is worth the money. To date, it seems as though all pet insurance companies are just greedy, self involved and have little care for the animals they insure. If Trupanion does not respond to our needs, I will be dropping them as well. Time will tell. This has nothing to do with Phil, who only answered a question about your initial extra charge of $45.

I have been with Trupanion for almost 8 years now. This company is amazing. No issues ever with any claims. Their direct billing option is wonderful and efficient. Finally every time I have ever had to call them their client service representatives are extremely pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this insurance company for any pet owner.

Horrible! You can't reach a live person and they have caps on well medication and didn't cover an ACL tear which was diagnosed after the policy was in effect. It has been less than a year that we have this insurance and within a few months we felt we made a mistake.

Life Saver
Trupanion is a life saver. Yea insurance can be expensive but if you love your pet this is essential. My 13 yo had a seizure in the middle of the night end I rushed him to the ER. The full work up was quoted at $6500 for hospital stay and MRI. Trupanion covered him and paid the hospital direct. They were so compassionate and caring and not to mention extremely fast to respond. Its well worth it and provides peace of mind!
