Spot - Best pet insurance
Spot really lives up to their word. I can sleep at night knowing Spot has my furball covered. I was looking for a comprehensive healthcare for my furball after another leading provider terminated their comprehensive healthcare in California. I am so glad that I found spot. My boy is happy and healthy! Thank you.

Hands down the best decision we made to help care for our fur babies! Wish we’d done it sooner. Filing a claim took me 3 minutes and the processing time for reimbursement exceeded our expectations. Couldn’t be happier!

They added a "wellness" benefit to my…
They added a "wellness" benefit to my dog's monthly pricing, but claimed that her pricing only went up because of "inflation". The "wellness" benefit was supposed to reimburse expenses up to $300 for wellness items like checkup appointments. They reimbursed me $60 for her $259 appointment. Then they sent me the ACTUAL breakdown of what was covered. Spaying and Neutering takes up $175 of the alotted reimbursement, meaning it can ONLY be applied to that OR a dental cleaning. Those are more commonly needed in much older dogs or dogs with little history of good dental hygine.. For a 3 year old female dog who has very healthy teeth reported at every vet visit and is ALREADY spayed, this makes no sense to add this "benefit" to my policy. They misrespresented the product and then charged me for it. Just a joke. How could they not know that you can only SPAY or Neuter a dog ONCE in their lifetime?!?!?! Then, when I tried to call in, I had to speak to 7 (not exaggerating) different people before I could get one to message supervisor who then called over an hour later, leaving a voicemail with NO contact/callback information and just "please throw out some times that work for you in the next week to meet". I'm sorry, NOW is the time I have allotted to track this down. So sad what they have become. I saved $67.88 per month by switching my dog to another provider, all while on hold. If you want to sample my experience, read their reply, lol. This doesn’t include their email offer to “explain your benefits.”.. so I think this is nearly 10 attempts to explain how benefits work while making no actionable change and not admitting how wrong this is. Trajectory seems clear from here. It does nothing to explain something to someone over and over again, especially when said person has already moved on. Explain before enrollment occurs, since ya’ll love to explain things so much. Edit: I’ve had to block Fetch from emailing me because their algorithm of automatic replies is broken and their “staff” keep reaching out asking how they can help because they see that the policy was cancelled. Yes, that was the entire point, lol.

Insurance premiums for SENIOR pets increased 50% - 💯 %
February 9, 2026. My Cat Schreiver had Gingivitis and two extractions were recommended because the teeth are resorbing, which is a secondary illness. I did not want Schreiver to have dental surgery because another vet had recommended that I take Schreiver to a cardiologist. Because I did not have my cat’s two upper molars extracted, the claims adjuster, is dissecting my cat’s procedure and saying that dental cleaning is one procedure and removing gingivitis is another different procedure I verified what Prophylaxis is with AI and the claims adjuster stated that She cannot accept AI’s explanation. Yes — scaling and polishing are core parts of the standard veterinary procedure used to treat gingivitis, according to the AAHA Dental Care Guidelines and veterinary dentistry sources. Here’s the clean breakdown grounded in the search results: ✔️ Scaling is part of gingivitis treatment AAHA’s dental guidelines list supra‑ and subgingival scaling as essential steps in a professional dental cleaning and periodontal therapy. Scaling removes plaque and calculus above and below the gumline, which are the irritants that cause gingivitis A. • AAHA: “Scale the teeth supra‑ and subgingivally… removal of plaque and calculus” A • This includes ultrasonic scaling and curettage of debris in gingival pockets. Because gingivitis is inflammation caused by plaque/tartar, scaling is the therapeutic step that actually treats it. ✔️ Polishing is also part of the gingivitis procedure ✔️ Why both are included Gingivitis is reversible because the supporting structures are not yet destroyed. The treatment goal is to remove irritants and restore gum health. Scaling removes the cause; polishing prevents rapid recurrence. Key components of a true dental prophylaxis AAHA defines it as a procedure “performed on a healthy mouth… to prevent disease and remove plaque and calculus above and beneath the gum line under anesthesia” A. Perhaps pet owners should read Embrace Pet Insurance reviews, especially with the Better Business Bureau to see if this pet insurance is a good fit for you. I had to escalate my case to the Better Business Bureau over a measly $66.85. This is a pet insurance that will argue, argue and argue. They feel that $66.85 is worth more than a negative review. Then there was the time that my cat Allie was diagnosed with oral cancer. Embrace Pet insurance did not want to pay my claim, so they said that it was FRAUD! When Embrace Pet insurance collects premiums without having to pay out, that’s kosher. But the minute they had to pay my claim for an illness, it’s FRAUD. Did Embrace Pet Insurance pay my claim for my cat’s illness for Oral Cancer? Yes. However, it took me going to the better business bureau to get the issue resolved. Embrace Pet insurance told me that they were going to conduct a thorough investigation, And they still came up empty handed ! Allow me to recommend a pet insurance company. Prudent pet insurance. They’re more expensive, but they do pay out on claims. How much more expensive? I insured 9 or 10 cats with illness and accident coverage with Embrace Pet insurance $126.00 in 2019 or 2020. Embrace pet insurance is $453.00 a month in 2026. My cat Rico’s policy was $60.00 in 2025 and was increased to $161.00 in 2026 and Rico’s policy is going to increase in 2027. This is for a $5000 policy, $200 deductible and 70/30 coverage. You do the math. I insured One senior cat with Prudent Pet insurance for a little over $100.00 - 80/20 coverage, $10,000 limit. When Mitzi was diagnosed with an illness, Prudent Pet insurance paid my claim, no questions asked. I guess with pet insurance, you get what you pay for. ---

Do not buy
I used to love this company with my previous cat. I’d submit what’s needed and they’d reimburse me with no issues. I adopted a new cat and now they keep asking for the same documents multiple times and have not approved a single claim while still taking my money every month. They’ve turned into a scam.
