Well this is a new relationship. More importantly, there was a disagreement with the manner of the waiting period. I have no issue with the waiting period but it makes no sense to charge a monthly premium and administrative fee if there is no coverage. The charge should start with the end of the waiting period. A premium is for coverage. If there is no coverage there should be no premium.

I think since my pup is having her teeth pulled spaying should be considered.
I think since my pup is having her teeth pulled, spaying should be considered. It should be part of a plan. I pay more than other people I know and their insurance covers this. I should have done more comparing but, my vet recommended this. I’m disappointed. But, on a different note Rhyse was very professional and helpful. Pleasant.

My only problem is that I'm paying a lot each month and it seems that any time my pet has a problem if it's a new one the deductible starts all over again.

I'm afraid to drop thie insurance as she's now 11 years old and one never knows what the future has in store for her. I must mention that your representatives are top notch and warm and understanding which is another reason I'm sticking with you.

Trupanion came through.
Trupanion has a good system in valuing claims and supporting the policyholders. It shares the burden and makes the difference we need in what we expect from a Pet Healthcare Plan as far as I am concerned. It is not about the pet owner not paying anything, but sharing the larger portion of the burden when called for. I had a major emergency for my dog and it was handled professionally; relatively fast and I did pay a pretty chunk of the costs, but Trupanion paid most of it. I think it was fair and met my expectations. That is ultimately what maters; what is our expectations and is it met when the incident does occur.

Although we fortunately haven't had to make any claims, the Trupanion staff has been very friendly and helpful. As a retail businessman all my life, this is at least as important to me as price (which I believe is fair, too). I hope they prove to be the same when and If we have a claim.
