We love how they handle our claims, but getting tooooooooo EXPENSIVE. They are great but a 6yo dog is almost as much as my Medicare Insurance. She is $122 a month and we feel like we need to cancel. Just beware they maybe inexpensive when you have a puppy but the price quickly goes up. They do not cover exams. Otherwise they are a great company.

OMG - I can't believe I love an insurance company
I've had Healthy Paws insurance for my dog Hazel for several years now. I had 2 dogs prior to Hazel without insurance and purchasing insurance and choosing Healthy Paws was one of the best decisions I've made. Claims are easy to file by just uploading the invoices. I typically file claims using the Healthy Paws App or on going to their web site on my laptop and receive reimbursement within 10 days. Most recently Hazel tore her ACL and needed TLPO surgery. It was sudden and scary and in the end it was a $7k procedure. Healthy Paws under my plan covered 90% - thank goodness!! For full transparency...My monthly rates, as with any health insurance, have increased annually --- but I feel so fortunate I continued with this plan and was able to give Hazel the care she needs without a financial hardship.

Not worth it
I'm glad it ended up getting covered, but then again not really because it's still money out of my pocket that I will never see again and if I had no insurance it would be no different. So I will be cancelling my insurance.

From Pound to a forever home
Truepanion has help me finance my dog and get the medical attention he has required since a puppy. Buster is now 10 yrs and getting older. He wouldn't have half of the meds and treatment he's had but 90% reimbursement has made it possible for me to meet his needs. a pup!

Trupanion: the Cadillac of pet insurance
Trupanion covered ninety percent of my (considerable) costs to save my dog's life when he had liver tumors. They are still covering most of the costs of his rechecks on that procedure, and could not be more helpful. I have put the charges on my card and without exception they have gotten the money into my account before the bill came due. Agents have been without exception kind, polite, well-informed and helpful. The hospital asked if I had insurance going into this and when I said I had Trupanion, the doctor told me I should be all right as Trupanion is "The Cadillac of health insurance." She was certainly right about that. I highly recommend Trupanion, they provide a wonderful service.

Trupanion has been a life saver for us.
Trupanion has been a life saver for us. My 9YO Boston Terrier has had knee issues, skin issues, and now was recently diagnosed with Cushings Disease, and it's so comforting to know that Trupanion helps so much to cover the cost of treatment so I can make sure we are giving him the best care we can, despite the cost. I recommend pet insurance to everyone I know, and especially tell them that Trupanion has been wonderful.

Excellent choice for our fur baby
Trupanion has been incredibly easy to work with. Before choosing Trupanion we contacted multiple insurance companies with a list of questions. Knowing that our dog is covered at a specific rate regardless of getting older is worth paying more the first few years. Other companies lure you in with cheaper rates when dogs are young but raise rates based on the age of the dog. We unfortunately have had to make a couple of claims, but they were handled quickly and without issue!
