It was amazing how quickly the claim that was submitted was processed and a check mailed. Having pet insurance has been the best purchase made since we added our Riley to the family. We never need to make a decision not to do necessary treatment of our dog because of vet fees.

My dog Penny recently had a very expensive surgery and healthy paws covered the entire cost of the surgery (minus deductible and my individual plan of 80% coverage). I received the money In my account within a week of filing the claim. It was genuinely so comforting knowing I didn’t have to worry about the care I got for my pet. I’ve never had a single issue with their refund/coverage policies and this one surgery was worth almost 7 years of the monthly payment I make, so it’s 100% worth the money. Do not purchase this insurance
They don't really cover anything. I have been reimbursed maybe $150.00 out of over $700.00 in claims. They claim that an ear infection was a pre-existing condition. My dog has had their coverage since we got him. The first claim i ever filed was a wellness claim. The ear infection was not pre-existing. I will be changing his insurance at the beginning of 2022 since i have already met the $500.00 deductible for this policy. Terrible coverage. They take forever to process the claims as well.

Truly Grateful for Trupanion!
I couldn't be any more grateful that we chose Trupanion to ensure the best care for our Golden Retriever. We signed up when she was just a puppy but 7 years later its a life saver for our poor baby who got really sick. They pay quickly and make a trying time much more bearable. Thank you Trupanion!
