Some less-than-flattering remarks. j.a.
In general, my complaints are small, but significant. For its costly coverage, which has increased several times in the past 10 years, Trupanion has an inordinate number of "qualifications." I do appreciate their response to a recent claim for one of my two Maine Coon cats, but I have heard nothing about a similar claim for the other cat. I do understand that insurance is a perverse gamble. We pay for policies that we really don't want to "invoke." However, far too many invocations are rejected.

I miss understood the deductible.

Insurance, Best decision ever!
Once I submitted my claim, it was the fastest turn around time ever. Trupanion responded immediately of course but then after telling me that they had approved my claim the money was in my bank account within 24 hours. I was very impressed. I have had insurance on my animals since I adopted them so now 10 years I've been with Trupanion and I will never not have insurance on my babies. It was the smartest investment I have ever made for having animals. I never worry about having to make difficult decisions when it comes to my dogs medical needs. Trupanion has been there for thousands of dollars in difficult decisions which made them easy.

I am very disappointed in this company.
I am very disappointed in this company. I have spent thousands of dollars on a policy that will not compensate me for my dogs allergy and ear infection saying it was a pre existing condition having occurred 4 years ago when he was a puppy. I am considering canceling my policy because I donât think it is of use to me if it doesnât cover my dogâs allergies and ear infection and goodness knows what else it wonât cover. This was the first claim I made in 4 years so am very unhappy with this company.
