First I received a email statin myhow to screw a customer
First I received a email stating my insurance was going up 500 when i looked at your website it actually was going up over 1200 when i called to enquire why was told i live in a certain area code where my rate went up but the real reason is because im grandfathered in to the 100% payback and its your companies way of getting away from that and having customers go with an 80 or 90% payback it is totally wrong and i am filing a complaint with the BBB and also to the state attorney complaint office it is very shady to do business like this

Constantly raising premiums, slow and not so great customer service
Your Pet Insurance is terrible. Every year you bump up my premiums by like at least $70, and your customer service is bad. Sometimes it takes weeks to process a claim, which is the same claim I submit every 50 days for my dogs heart medication. It takes weeks for your team to send the reimbursement check. Earlier this year, I had a claim that got processed and Explanation of Benefits wasn't generated, and I never got a reimbursement check, and I had to call back every 3 weeks asking why my check hadn't been received. Fortunately after the 3rd customer service person, they were able to identify it was because my Explanation of Benefits was never generated by your system, so the previous people I talked to didn't catch that and kept telling me my check was in the mail. I also one time had a claim that was resolved pretty quickly actually, however after it was resolved it said I'd receive $0 even though my deductible had been met and I should have received $167, so again I had to call your customer service to fix it. For the price I pay, and the fact you continue to raise my premiums year after year by a ridiculous amount of money, it takes forever for your team to process a claim and get me my reimbursement checks.

Simple to Understand Coverage
The MetLife policy we have for our new puppy has provided excellent coverage during her first 1.5 years. We knew that there would be many routine vaccines and new puppy mishaps, and having the ability to choose 90% coverage and include wellness was such a great value. Other companies coverage and limitations vary by condition, but the Metlife policy is so straight forward with no headaches trying to understand what is covered or why it was not. An area for improvement would be in the processing of claims and properly reviewing all pages of the documents submitted. Sometimes claims have taken extra long. In the end, phone customer service is always pleasant and helpful and once the claims are properly reviewed, I've had no issues. I'm impressed by the simplicity of the coverage compared to other companies I've used in the past.

They do not cover much
They do not cover much. Pre-existing conditions, like being a senior dog who has had joint pain before can cause them to not cover medication. All claims require not only the itemized bill (understandable) but also doctors notes, even when it's routine and no outlandish charges are present. Not worth the money they charge in my experience. We certainly are not renewing.
