So easy & the peace of mind is worth every penny!
My dog had a weird eye thing going on the night before my son was to have surgery, all the nerves... it was SO nice that I didn't have to make a choice on whether to take him to the vet that night (emergency vets are expensive and I swear mine only gets sick at night or on a holiday/weekend) and I could have peace of mind going into my sons surgery the next morning! The yearly payment for pet insurance is worth that peace of mind EVERY TIME!

Thank You from my whole heart
I cannot begin to say how much this policy gives me peace of mind. It is hard enough to have you baby sick in the hospital without having to worry about how you will pay for it. I was recently laid off in December and the stress of having a sick pet on top of it was terrible. Thank you to your staff for always taking care if things smoothly and always putting your customers and their babies wellbeing first!
Bella's cancer journey
Bella is an 11 year old westie. She was diagnosed with tcc bladder cancer in June 2023. Pets Best has allowed me the financial support to provide her the best possible treatment for this horrible disease. She continues to receive treatment to help stabilize the tumor and maintain quality of life. I appreciate Pets Best.
Pet insurance
Pet insurance has been a god send for us. Out of 5 pets all but 1 have had major health issues that would have been hard to pay for out of pocket. As the dogs get older the premiums go up but until after 10 or 11 it has always paid for itself in claims submitted. Pets Best has been wonderful and we have had it for over 10 years .

Emergency vet hospitalization
My puppy (8m old, male, mixed breed) was coughing for a week and suddenly got very sick overnight. We rushed him to our local emergency vet where he was diagnosed with pneumonia, GI upset, and dehydration. They admitted him and kept him overnight for iv fluids and antibiotics. Once he was stable, he was discharged on oral antibiotics and followed up with his vet two weeks later for an exam and x-ray. At this exam he was found to still have some lingering pneumonia, and was put on an additional week of antibiotics. We just had our second follow up appointment today and he was totally cleared—all better! In total, the care for my pup amounted to around $3,500, an overwhelming amount for a young couple in our 20s. Luckily, Pets Best approved both claims (the emergency vet and the first follow up—I’ve just submitted the claim for our second follow up appointment)—leaving us responsible for only about $1,200 of the total cost. A MUCH more manageable amount. Plus, since our deductible is met now and our plan is unlimited, we have peace of mind in case anything else happens this year. For only about $20/month, getting our pup insured with Pets Best was a game changer and we’re so grateful we made this decision.
Amazing
Having pet best insurance was extremely easy to use and helped financially.
Luxating Patella Surgery
One of my pups recently had luxating patella surgery, and I am so glad that I had coverage from Pets Best, as orthopedic surgery is not cheap. I am in the veterinary field, so I have gone back and forth with myself about keeping coverage for my animals (I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, so it adds up quick) but this has definitely proven to me that it is totally worth every penny, because I was able to get my girl the best care possible, knowing I would get some of my money reimbursed to make it less stressful, financially. Filing the claim, uploading medical records, and everything was so easy. I was shocked by how quick the whole process was, and how quickly I was able to get the reimbursement. It helps me feel much more at ease, knowing that Pets Best is here to help if my animals need any sort of specialty, or emergency care. Even if you only have accident/illness coverage, it helps with the more unexpected things that come up. Overall I am very happy with my experience, and definitely recommend Pets Best to anyone who is looking to get pet insurance for their furry friends.
Better to not have insurance
They hide everything in the fine print. Their accident and illness plan doesn’t cover the emergency exam portion of your emergency visit which is often half of the price of taking your pet to an emergency vet. They also only pay $150 towards spay/neuter and won’t cover anything that is labeled as pre-op such as medications or the pre-op visit, even though they advertise covering spay/neuter. We paid $71/month for 9 months with a new puppy (lots of exams, vaccines, office visits, neuter, and emergency visits) and got reimbursed a whopping $200 total in that time because nothing is covered or even counts toward your deductible. It makes more sense to not have this insurance.
Healthy Paws is absolutely a must-have.
Healthy Paws is absolutely a must-have. We have 3 pets on our policy, two big dogs who recently passed around pneumonia for over 2 months, one required hospitalization. Healthy Paws had our back the whole way. Instant claims processing, direct deposit of reimbursements within days (not weeks). Healthy Paws + 0% APR Care Credit is the way to go to ensure your pets get the treatments they need, right away. Right after our pneumonia scares, one of our dogs tore his ACL!! Over $8,000 in treatments and counting, and Healthy Paws once again had our backs. We feel so safe knowing we have a Healthy Paws policy, that our pets are protected no matter what. We are 100% Healthy Paws for lifers and recommend them to anyone that doesn't have pet insurance yet or doesn't like their provider.
