I can’t say enough about how thankful I…
I can’t say enough about how thankful I am that we enrolled our new puppy in Trupanion. Never excepted to have to use it, but 10 days having her home she had an accident and ended up with a broken leg. Surgery is going to be required and the peace of mind that we only are required to pay our deductible is such a relief during this already difficult time. We have had dogs for the past 30 years and never felt we needed insurance. Our puppy came with insurance and I thought what could it hurt to sign her up! Thank goodness we made the decision! Life brings unexpected turns and I’m so thankful for Trupanion during this one!

greed is the game
Slow processing times, premiums have skyrocketed. At this point it’s not worth it.

Terrible Coverage Near Quadrupling of Premiums
I've used them for my Welsh Springer Spaniel for years. When they denied my first claims more than 2 years ago, it was suspicious but I let it slide. Now I've been paying premiums every month, easy to forget on autopay, and in the last few months they nearly QUADRUPLED the premiums with minimal notice and no real explanation. Last straw was rejecting 3 out of 4 of my latest claims because they were just past an arbitrary 60 day time limit for filing. I would have been better off self-insuring for all the premiums I've paid. Don't do it.

Spot is the best
After owning several dogs and never having insurance, we decided that we would get it with our new mini dachshund seeing as we paid $$$ for our last ones ivdd back surgery. Spot is one of the few if not only insurance that covers genetic disorders. Thankfully we got insurance bc at 1.5 years old our Piper has gotten into more trouble than all my other dogs combined. Spot has given us the biggest peace of mind. We will never not have insurance, we will never not have spot.

Worth the money for health of your pet
We are very impressed by MetLife’s pet insurance. We have done 10 claims and it is so easy and relatively quick to receive your reimbursement. I think the longest I have waited for reimbursement is around 2.5 weeks. It’s very easy to use the app to upload your receipts or vet notes and follow the process to your claim being approved and then the payment. We have reached out to customer service a few times and it has always been pleasant and quick. This will be our third year with Met Life for our pet insurance and we continue to be impressed by the coverage and the service. Thank you for making things easy.

Financial Support when you need it
My overall experience has been positive. My claims have been paid timely. There was a period of a few months where PetsBest was updating software and it did seem the claims took about a month to process. When my claim has been denied I followed up with needed information (due to a newly adopted pet) and then claim was processed. I did a TPLO surgery on one of my dogs and was very please at the processing time and reimbursement. I have one pet on maintenance medication and have had no issues with claims being processed. I went 2 years having no need to process claims and then this last year we have had several needs and I have grateful to have this for my 3 dogs so I can make quality of life decision without having to heavily weigh in cost as I know after deductible I'll start to receive reimbursement. I recommend this company. My overall experience has been positive. My claims have been paid timely.
