Wellness seriously under covered
Submitting a claim was easy enough, but wellness reimbursement is abysmally low and honestly probably not worth it. No vet has charged that little for either exams or vaccinations in decades.

CO pay AND deductible.
Not only do you have a $400 deductible but they charge you 20% copay as well on the same claim. My claim had two visits and because the 2nd visit was after the policy renewal, they charged me another $400 deductible. An $1800 claim payed me $650

Timely and Perfect Claims Payment
This is the second Golden I have covered with TruPanion. In the 12 years I've had this insurance, they have never lost a claim, never failed to explain well anything not covered, and paid my claims quickly and accurately. I love that I can either send a photo of my claim or upload it or fax it to them. With my first Golden, I was assigned a single individual who handled all of my claims. When my pup passed away, I received a hand-written, very kind and compassionate card from my claims examiner. I recommend TruPanion to all pet Moms and Dads.
Best Insurance for Dog care Ever
Fill out questionnaire, then email it in, takes a couple weeks and get a direct deposit for 100% after deductible is paid. Very helpful phone assistance, couldn't be happier. I had another dog for many years and in the end, was paying thousands of dollars for his care. I expect my insurance will help shoulder that load in the distance future. I recommend this company for your pet insurance.

Best Pet Insurance ever
We have had Pets Best insurance since we got Benji as a pup. I loved Pets Best so much that I added my Golden Retriever to my plan. I love the wellness protection, they always pay within a week of taking my pets to the Doctor. This month is the first time I really had to use the illness plan. My Shih-Tzu was really sick, to the point that the ER we took him to was afraid he was not going to make it. But he did, and on our way home I filled out my insurance claim. I had a copy of all the detailed notes from the hospital my baby was in. In normal circumstances, it takes up to 30 days for them to review and pay the bill. I filed the claim on the day we brought my baby home. Since I sent all documentation with the claim they quickly reviewed the claim and within 2 days of filing I received my EOB. Within 5 days of receiving my EOB, I received the money so I could pay my credit card. They literally paid everything excluding my deductible & my 10%. I am so thankful I had the coverage where they paid 90%, especially since the bill was over $6,000. It helped me to be able to tell the Veterinarian to do everything they could to keep my baby alive. Because I knew I had insurance to cover the majority of the bill. I recommend Pets Best Insurance to anyone who has pets. It is the best decision I made.

Easy process
Our previous insurer consistently found reasons to limit or deny reimbursements. Even if the vet requested a test or procedure, that company denied coverage. We could only afford accident/preventive care so out-of-pocket expenses were astronomic. Met Life seemed more expensive but has proven to pay for itself. One of our 3 dogs developed aspiration pneumonia and required 3 1/2 days of ICU care; within 3 weeks we'd received 80% reimbursementon a bill of over $5,500.

Not Happy
This was my pet's first visit to the vet the bill was with. And I at the time I took my dog in only my wellness was kicked in so I was only figuring to get paid back for the annual first check-up part of the visit. This is because in the visit I had said to the doctor my dog really wasn't eating and had some loose stools so then they decided to do a few extra workups on her that I knew I would have to pay for that the insurance wouldn't since the illness wasn't kicked in yet. But after 3.5 weeks of no communication from them I logged back into the portal like I was doing on almost a daily basis at this point and bamm that day there was a FULL denial letter for EVERYTHING. NOT HAPPY, just thinking about canceling and going without any coverage, doesn't make sense to pay $101 a month for 1 dog with no health issues ever.

MetLife is Amazing for Maltipoos!
This is our first pet insurance ever. We decided to choose this one because of great reviews and affordability comparing to others. First of all, I think it’s important you get the “Preventative care” add-on as it covers the regular visits, vaccines, and routine (including dental and neutering). After that make sure you download and register in the app. From there submission of the documents and the whole process for claims is a breeze! You just upload the receipt from the vet and that’s it! First time, you need to upload the 12-month doctor’s notes only once. Review of the claims is slightly longer than they say but we we don’t mind as every claim was approved and we were not bothered during the review process. If needed they will reach out to the vet directly. Our friends had other providers and always had issues but MetLife was always there for us and we will keep this insurance forever. Thank you, MetLife!
