Please do whats right for your pet. HP is a SCAM!
I've been with Healthy Paws for 7 years! Since then I've only made 2 claims which borh were denied! I had to issue a dispute for them to reconsider which they only decide to approve one! My Premium jumped 335% starting at $36/month to $160/month!!! Similar to most of the responses here. It appears that HP goal is to increase your deductible to $1,000, putting you in that range so none of your claims will be approved. Unless your pet is on it's death bed!!! If you are considering this insurance for your Pet. Please take this review into consideration! I'm almost certain anyone posting a 5 star review are Bots! Please be warned! If you are considering HP to provide peace of mind for your pet. Please look elsewhere. At the end of the day your claims will be denied!!!

Terrible
Would not recommend….okay good thing I can say is the claims they do pay they pay quickly. Their rates increase significantly EVERY year, their website/system is always down or updating but nothing ever improves. Their website is terrible. My dog went fore a wellness visit, was given medicine for an issue but because of this they didn’t pay out her wellness coverage. So what am I paying for???

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
After doing my research, I signed up with Pets Best and felt I had found a top pet insurance company, one I could really trust to help me take care of my dog -- and all went well for a while. BUT, when I adopted two more dogs, I had difficulty getting their website to recognize that I now have THREE dogs and qualify for a multi-pet discount. As a result, INSTEAD OF GETTING THEIR MULTI-PET DISCOUNT, somehow MY ORIGINAL DOG GOT A NEW POLICY TOO -- AND NOW HER ALLERGY PROBLEM IS CALLED "PRE-EXISTING" AND IS NO LONGER COVERED!!!!!!! Even contacting Pets Best "customer care" and explaining the situation did no good. WOW, talk about being disappointed!!!! Bottom line, since no one will now cover her allergies, I'm switching companies just on principle and share this with the broader pet community as a word of caution!

Spot is great!
I love spot, theyre straight forward about insurance, proof of bills are sent in then they direct deposit or send a check to you back with what they help pay. They are prompt about getting back to you. I never had an issue with them getting back to me. Insurance for smaller things are whatever to me, they paid a portion of those too. I had a solid just basic coverage. But man insurance sure did come in handy during extreme help for my cats medical/emergency bills. I am so grateful i looked into insurance for my little guy. It does help you guys! My pay out helped my finances so much. I would definitely use Spot again or recommend it to others! Give them a go!

Today sonnet called n very rude telling me they cancelled my insurance witch I wanted but then they tell me it’s going to take 15-20 days to get me money back that’s crazy I have never heard of it taking that long and when I ask why they say that’s just how’s it’s done so I ask to speak to a supervisor or his bus he tells me no the only person I’m going to talk to is him and he said he don’t care if I beee my money sooner he will not help

Love and Trust Spot!
We truly feel we receive the product we pay for. Whether routine or accidental, we feel confident that Spot insurance will honor the policy we have with them. Friends don't believe me when I say what we get for the insurance we have with Spot. Our cat was with another insurance provider and continued to raise the rates. Even being an older cat Spot wrote her a policy. Love them!

Scam and thieves
So I canceled with this company after the first month cuz I wasn't happy the way they did things. I don't want direct feeling they don't do I've submitted for a claim all the receipts all the medical records everything required then they tell me the deny my claim because I didn't submit the the records they're asking for documents or whatever but yet everything was submitted so yet how you supposed to know what's to submit you shouldn't I shouldn't be submit anything prior to me getting the insurance my insurance start on a certain date I submit bills after that date and all medical records not sure of the issue with this company took my money so give me my money back that I paid for the dog then if you're refusing my claim if you want to pay me those hundreds of dollars back cuz it was a big claim so people they do not reimburse you for Spain they do not reimburse you for chipping they do not reimburse you for vaccinations they do not reimburse you for flea and tick stuff trust me my claim for it always denied and this is the second review I put up do you think the company contacted me no cuz heaven forbid then give me my money back that I paid for the month since you didn't you know what I'm going to contact somebody higher there's an insurance place you can contact the office of the Supreme of insurance for any and all insurances and I think I'm going to do that and send him all the proof of everything I've sent and the way it denies maybe this company will be shut down then cuz I'm going to have them under investigation stole my monthly money and then refuse to pay me anything back pretty sad
