It is too expensive for what you pay…
It is too expensive for what you pay out. I would have been much better off without it financially this past year. My veterinarian charges much more than the reimbursement that is allowed

I love Spot Pet
I love Spot Pet. I simply send in the vet invoice and then I hear from Spot Pet. It is easy, concise. The monthly premiums are very reasonable...another reason to love Spot Pet.

I have Two dogs insured with PB
I have Two dogs insured with PB, one is 8 and one is 2. This company has been supportive and consistent with paying claims. Sometimes it takes longer than I like and a few times I have had to call cs but I am happy with the plan I signed up for. It’s important to decide on your deductible, copay and annual limit before signing bc those things can’t change easily afterwards. And premiums have increased a lot. I am locked in forever due to preexisting conditions so that’s a concern.

Excellent process and quick payment
Excellent process and quick payment! We received the money within one or two days. They saved us from many high vet bills and helped our pets stay healthy and happy. They are expensive, but it’s worth it!

Healthy Pet Insurance never paid one…
Healthy Pet Insurance never paid one claim that I submitted, and then they more than doubled my rates. You are far better off self-funding your own insurance. Beware.

The worst!
The worst!! Price gouging worse than human insurance companies. It’s all a scam. So many better companies out there these days. Edit: since I can’t reply to the canned reply from embrace I’ll do it here. There are SO MANY better options out there for pet insurance. Better coverage, WAY better prices and better reviews! Embrace is owned by a monopoly and they do NOT care about pets. They care about MONEY! Please don’t believe the reviews that sing their praises. Either they are people who just signed up and haven’t had premiums double or triple the first time they renew, or they are totally fake reviews altogether. This insurance SUCKS.

Disgusted doesn't even begin to cover it PT2.
Because I can’t reply to your response, @Embrace, I’d like to set the record straight for anyone following this issue. The acquisition of Embrace in late 2023 by private equity firm JAB Holdings, who now owns more than 10 pet insurance brands, should not be ignored. According to JAB’s 2024 Annual Report, their strategy is focused on using acquisitions to drive revenue growth, and they explicitly highlight “above-industry growth” in pet insurance, attributed to “partnership activations,” “premium increases,” and new business writings after consolidation. So while you keep telling me my 200%+ rate jump is due to “normal aging and inflation,” your parent company openly reports that profit growth comes from raising premiums after rolling up multiple pet insurance companies. JAB’s own report states that their North American pet insurance platform, Independence Pet Holdings (which includes Embrace), posted “core brands GWP [gross written premium] up +30.7% vs. last year” and touts “rate optimization initiatives” as a main driver of that growth, not just rising vet costs. Just here on Trustpilot, at least four of the brands that have been bought out by JAB Holding Company have received garbage ratings from consumers, with the most of them centered around astronomical rate hikes, frequent claim denials, and sudden policy cancellations without no notice. Does that sound familiar? It’s disingenuous to blame these rate hikes solely on my dog’s age or veterinary inflation when the real catalyst is a private equity group, now holding a billion-dollar portfolio in pet insurance AND veterinary services, seeking returns through aggressive price hikes after acquiring trusted consumer brands. These financial maneuvers are spelled out in "JAB Holding company’s Annual Report 2024" explaining their investor filings for anyone who cares to look. If you’re going to triple premiums, at least be honest about the reasons: it’s not just about our pets getting older, it’s about your shareholders’ profit targets.

Bark up another tree. Stay away!
This company USED to be a decent company. NOW, it does not respond to emailsm nor calls. No one even answers the phone. We had over $1200.00 in claims and NOT ONE of them are eligible to be paid or for three months they are still "pending". What the negative reviews are stating IS TRUE!! DO NOT sign with this company. I am cancelling today!!! So tired of waiting to hear about "pending" claims though we and the animal hospital have submitted everything that was requested. BYE
