Peace of Mind for Our Pets – Reliable and Compassionate Coverage
We enrolled in Pets Best insurance to ensure our furry friends are cared for in case of any major situation requiring a significant investment. Emergencies are unpredictable, and veterinary costs can be high. Since joining Pets Best, we've experienced excellent responsiveness and timely reimbursements, as long as the required information was uploaded. Over the past two years, one of our cats underwent several procedures to treat cancer. Until her passing, Pets Best consistently reimbursed us for all her treatments, which made a difficult time a little easier. This level of support has earned my trust—I will definitely continue using Pets Best and recommend it to friends and family.
Disappointing experience
After their systems were down still took a week to get claim filed. Another long stretch before I received email saying it was being reviewed. When I was notified that claim had been processed there were numerous deductions for amount or things not covered. Service levels and claims processing, payment has declined significantly over past year. We cover 2 dogs on our policy, seriously considering another provider.

Very good at processing claims, AND at jacking up our premiums
This company is very good and pretty fast at processing claims. The site is easy to use for that purpose. My main issue with them is the price of the coverage and how they have increased it. Over the past 3 years, we have had to move three times. All three moves were less than two miles. We are in the same city and can literally walk from one address to another. We have always used the same two vet practices -- that has not changed at all. But each time we moved, they used that to jack up our premiums. Our monthly is now more than 100% higher than what it was three years ago, and they have refused to give me an explanation for this.

DOESN'T PAY
It took a long time and asking for cancellation of the policy for me to get one claim processed; instead of just automatic denial over and over. Subsequently, two following claims were denied . Don't waste your money.

Very friendly initial contact
Aileen was very friendly and knowledgeable. I just signed up both my pets and they gave me a military discount. Be sure to ask as there are several discounts on their website chatbot. Haven't had to use the insurance but it seems reasonable and after a lot of research was the most economical for the quality.

We bought Met Life Pet Insurance based…
We bought Met Life Pet Insurance based on a thorough review of cost vs. benefits. When we needed to renew our policy, their premium costs skyrocketed. We negotiated a little lower premium, and renewed with them again because one of our two dogs had a pre-existing condition requiring dental extractions. That surgery was performed 8/22 and Met life it seems has buried the claim and never paid it. Every time we call, they ask for the same information over again, or alternatively, they tell us the same story over again. No one seems to be able to help us get the claim paid. Beyond frustrated. My husband has spent endless hours in multiple conversations with customer support and no resolution. Today my husband is giving it is all, in an attempt to escalate the claim. Wish us luck!!!

Where is the value?
Having worked in the insurance industry for 5 years many years ago, I have a basic understanding of how the “system works”. In our case, we are paying $981 annually - submitted $697 in claims over 3 years and Pets Best has only paid out $200. Where is the value?
