Thank you for your concern

Thank you for your concern for Mousey. His allergies really flare up this time of year. I am so greatfull for the help we get from his insurance to help defray the cost of his meds. this helps us financially and helps him to be so much more comfortable and to enjoy his life. He can be the loving pup he is supposed to be.

Battling ear infection over a year but Nationwide has had my back!

Unfortunately, my dog has had this lingering ear infection and he's been miserable. We couldn't figure out if it was an airborne or food allergy, and it's been really annoying. 15 months later, I feel like we have a handle on it and Duke is doing better, but it's definitely been an expensive journey. After not using my insurance for 4 years, it really came in handy when this happened. They have been a huge help!

Very Caring

ASPCA is not the cheapest insurance for pets but the care they show when your pet is ill is amazing. My Tiffany was diagnosed with very serious Liver issues and needs to be watched very closely. It is good to know that she is covered by a company with people who actually care how she is doing. I have had several calls to check on her progress since she first showed signs of this illness. Thank you ASPCA for your continued support.

Caution regarding their deductible: not a good plan

When I first got pet insurance for my puppy 7 years ago, Trupanion had a great policy, affordable and covered just about everything. Then, they changed their policy model and substantially increased their rates about 4 years later. My premium doubled to more than $140/month and the coverage went to: each condition has a deductible, not per year, per condition. So, if 3 separate things happen to your dog in a year, you will be out the deductible times 3 BEFORE Trupanion pays you anything. I ended up having to substantially alter my policy so the premium I was paying before the increase stayed the same: result: $250 deductible from a zero deductible for each and every condition. So far, I have gotten nothing from Trupanion since this policy change because my dog has not had a recurrence of anything and nothing has cost more than $250 each time. This past year I have paid $800 out of pocket because each thing was something new. My younger dog is with Healthy Paws, a yearly deductible of $100 and then 90%. And for much less cost than Trupanion. I do NOT recommend Trupanion but am stuck with this for the rest of my dog's life. Likely I will have to increase my deductible to afford the next price increase.

I've been very pleased with the coverage & service Nationwide has provided Mindy and I.

I am very happy with the service and coverage Mindy has with Nationwide, but of course didn't expect an increase in premium so soon. I do however recommend Nationwide to several of my friendly pet owners.

I will never be without pet insurance again.

Nationwide is a wonderful insurance company for my dog Lacey. It takes the financial pain out of taking her to the vet and keeping her healthy. They have always been prompt and fair with me. Thank you Nationwide.

Peace of mind

My dog had a torn ACL, surgery was necessary but very expensive. Thankfully we have this insurance or I’m not sure what we would’ve done.

Nationwide is NOT on your side.

Dogs get recurring illnesses just like people, but they will not pay for a recurring illness. They also charge more because of her age. They charge $250 deductible which you can never reach unless you dog is dying or has a Wellness Exam like mine had. I am very lucky, my dog is really healthy except for a few recurring problems, like maybe ear infection.
