Service deterioration
Over the past year, Nationwide's service has deteriorated. It took over two months to review a simple request to remove a pre-existing limitation when all that was necessary was to read a few pages of records to see that the condition had been gone for over 6 months. Also, it took over 30 days to process a simple claim for an antibiotic. Also, I am anticipating an unusually large increase in my premium.

Healthy Paws Helped Us with Our Pup's TPLO
Honestly, get your pet health insurance, ASAP. We love our dogs because they are family and the expense of making sure they receive the proper, high-quality care they need is VERY HIGH, especially in our case: major knee surgery. We were able to go to our trusted vet with peace of mind knowing our Opi was in good hands and that us (the humans) were taken care of as well.

Does not cover much of any bill we have ever submitted. Very disappointing.
Again, we find it very disappointing how little we have ever gotten back. In NY, no vet is charging the amount covered that we have been able to find.

I have had other insurance companies for my pets but ASPCA is the best ever. I always recommend to everyone. Fast payments on your claims. Everyone is great to help if you have any questions. They even call you after your claim to see how your pet is doing. I can't say enough.

Not satisfied with deductible
I know you only want positive claim stories but I wanted to share feedback somewhere. I have been insuring two puppies for the past 4 years. The very first "should" we run an x-ray decision was decided in my mind by - well, yes we need to know for sure and that's what I have insurance for her for. My claim was rejected because of a deductible. 4 years /x two dogs and $400 rejected the first time I wanted to use it. I have to be honest, I'm not 100% certain that having insurance for my young dogs makes sense financially. Not sure what to recommend to you as a company , but this is the first time in over 10 years and 4 animals that I have considered cancelling and covering my animals myself because I felt foolish for wasting money on Pet's Best. Just wanted to share that because I have been a long time customer and fan.

Deductible and co-pay
The 3-5 days period should be more responsible as to what's going on -I didn't realize I had to pay a deductible AND co-pay so was disappointed to see how little I actual got back.

Completely satisfied
I have been so happy with my VPI/Nationwide Pet insurance. The claims process is easy, the reimbursements are quick, and the coverage is great. I recommend this insurance to all of my pay parent friends and will continue to purchase for any pets that come into my like in the future. It’s worth every penny!
