Since my vet works with Trupanion I only had to pay my part directly to the vet and Trupanion will pay my vet. It was super easy & I really appreciated the peace of mind & lower cost. This is the first time I ever had to place a claim, but it made it worth every insurance premium payment. Thank you.

Your customer service is so good!! Price is high, and so far my claims have been denied due to pre-existing conditions (on an 8-week-old puppy?!!?) Otherwise, he has been healthy and no major expenses to date.

Embrace is excellent!!
I have been with Embrace for (2) years with my older Great Dane (now 2 1/2 years old) but thankfully have never had to submit a claim. However....I added my new Great Dane puppy at 12 weeks old the end of November and within 3 weeks he broke his leg in two spots....got it stuck under the stair when he was running up the stairs. After my deductible was reached (in one ER visit) Embrace took over. I am so grateful that they made the process so easy and painless. I have been receiving checks for every claim submitted after the deductible was reached. Also every email I sent was answered.....every phone call was treated with courtesy and kindness.....and they keep you informed of each claim received and where it is in the process and the outcome. Thank goodness for insurance!
I am very happy having insurance for my dog. As you know Dr bills can be quite expensive. The premiums are somewhat high, but overall I am happy with ASPCA insurance.

Reimbursement is very easy
Our Golden Retriever was diagnosed with a seizure disorder shortly after she turned 1 year old. She has had expensive vet visits, tests, and monthly medications to try and treat her condition. Without trupanion, we would not have been able to afford to care for her. I recommend Trupanion all the time to friends and family. The claims process and reimbursement is really easy.

Allowed us to afford saving his life
We had pet insurance for our dog since a pup. The coverage we received was amazing and I would say it allowed us to afford saving his life more then once. Without pet insurance we would have had to put our dog down due to the cost.

Premium is high
I'm not confident that Trupanion actually has any value - the premium cost is high, and the deductibles are also high and don't include the office visit fee. I'm beginning to realize I'd have to have a $2,000 expense before Trupanion would pay a dime. If I just saved and invested the $2,000 each year, in five years I'd have enough to cover most pretty substantial expenses. That might be a better option. I just haven't decided yet.
