Huge Help!
I’ve had The whole pet wellness and emergency plan for almost three years now, and I have been nothing but extremely satisfied with the coverage. I had an issue initially with my policy haven’t a “pre existing” condition on it but after requesting medial review that claus was removed! Submitting a claim is very easy and receiving the amount as promised is even better. Highly recommend!

Pick another company.
I will admit, claims for the major medical plan have been paid and dealt with appropriately. My negative review comes from that fact that I was mislead a year ago about upgrading to the wellness + plan, later told because my dog has allergies this is not allowed. So essentially being already insured and changing your plan isn’t allowed, which makes no sense given that we are already customers. Also, premium went from 39/month to 52/month after 1 year (after staying about that price for 3 years straight). Sadly given my dog’s allergies I am stuck staying with this policy but I will never choose Nationwide again and have actually gone with a different company for my other dog. Stay away.

So happy to have insurance
Happy to have emergency and preventive care insurance. We have used both options for our now 1year old dog. Helps to keep expenses down and also spreads out cost of routine vaccines/etc. reimbursement process is online and straightforward.

Prices will continue to hike!
Officially cancelling our policy after being with healthy paws for 5 years. They have continued to raise prices. In a few years I’ll be paying 100 a month for my dogs insurance (more than I pay for my own). They are increasing our policy by 9 dollars a month which will be $62.52. I’m beyond upset about this as I’ve already paid so much over the course of my dogs life and have only ever benefited off it once. With a monthly fee like that and a $250 dollar deductible I just don’t see it ever being worth it. There are also no discounts for teeth cleaning or office visits. The least this company could do is provide their loyal customer with incentive to stay instead of continually raising prices by this much. Fed up with it. Put the money you spend on insurance into a savings account so if your dog has an emergency you have the money to pay for it.

Best thing I did for Vivienne having pet insurance
Nationwide pet ins is awesome. I was a little disappointed that my last claim of $1129 was not covered more than the $755 I was paid I do like having the electronic payments

Expensive, But Worth It
It is pricey, especially my renewal, but if your pet is your fur baby then it is worth it. You never know when you'll need this.

Great Service
Overall great service. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and a lot people think I spend too much that I could just save it for when I do need to go to the vet, but my dog is my child and it actually costs less than human health insurance with a peace of mind that is priceless. So far, I’m happy with this insurance. They really seem to care and check in just enough. I got my reimbursement quicker than expected. A coworker of mine didn’t get insurance and recently spent $4,000 at the vet for emergency services for her 1 year old puppy only to be told they didn’t know what was wrong with him, and now she has to change her honeymoon plans. I’m glad I won’t ever be in that situation because I got the fullest coverage for my baby, it truly is priceless. The sooner coverage starts, the better.
