Nationwide pet insurance is very helpful!
Having a pet can be expensive when it’s time to go to the vet hospital. Having Nationwide insurance gives me comfort knowing that many of my pet’s vet/hospital costs are covered in her plan.

So far, so good
I was advised to carry pet insurance when I got my puppy as the breed often has issues. So far we have only filed using the wellness rider for routine puppy shots, and Nationwide has covered almost all the costs. It remains to be seen if we will ever incur higher claims and how they will be covered, but I am hopeful the company would continue their positive responses.

Waste of time
I don’t know if other companies are this bad and I’ll never waste my money to find out. My 11 week old puppy injured her paw. Took her in (having never used insurance) find out examinations aren’t covered and deductibles have to be huge or your monthly payments are worse than car payments! Thanks for the big $16.00 keep it! As soon as she’s done being breed I’m canceling as the money I’ll save will pay for any future issues in full!

Thankful for pet insurance. Claims take too long to process and or receiving reimbursement. Insurance increase is too pricey.
Despite multiple attempts made by our vets office to file the same claims. It appears they are being lost. I never use to experience this problem in the beginning but over the last 8 months. We (myself and Vet office) are resending claims multiple times because "you claim you're not receiving them." I live outside city limits and this does not make it very easy to make myself available. However, I can assure you all claims are being processed by fax at checkout after each visit. I can also understand the insurance increase for Milee our boxer, with sensitive stomach and other issues. But to increase Jade too (border collie mix) whom is seen only once a year for routine check ups (healthy dog and has no health issues) Your policy information says your giving us a discount for our 2 pets. I'm not so sure about that either. I believe the insurance increase took place because Milee has health issues and nothing more. But If we drop Jade from the insurance we lose the supposed discount. That sounds a bit off and ridiculous.
