I really thought it would pay a little more on my pets last visit ( like for part of his medications)
My pet just started to get allergies this year and has to take medication, which I guess it's not covered by the insurance. This really upsets me! Medications should be covered, in my opinion!

Good service, but very high rate increase forcing canellation of policy.

Pretty great
I've been quite happy with Nationwide overall. I like that they cover the cost of preventative meds like flea control, etc. I don't like that they don't cover the cost of GI upset. For a long while they were taking a good 30-days to pay claims, but the last two claims I submitted were paid within a week, which was great! All said, I'm quite happy with the coverage and would recommend them to others.

Always quick & fair
I’ve used Trupanion for over 10 years. We had it for my first dog, a Frenchie. They covered multiple illnesses and injuries, including his MRI and cervical spinal surgery for IVDD. Now we have it for our 1 and a half year old mixed breed and they’ve been awesome covering her recent illness. They are fairly quick at settling claims, and will pay directly to your vet if your vet will accept a prior authorization agreement. It’s also reasonably priced and rates aren’t insane. Best decision ever made for my dogs.

The best pet insurance, highly recommended
My cat was diagnosed with cancer last year. We didn't do the chemo treatment but put her on steroids instead. Since then we had to do numerous folo up treatment and she had other health issues like respiratory problem and eye problem. Her eye problem turned out to be cornea ulcer. Vet treated her with eye drops but eventually have to go to an ophthalmologist. Long story short, I submitted a lot of claims for my cat's vet visit and got payment back every time, after meeting my deductible. Everything is so easy and fast. Thanks for taking care of the bills so that there's one less thing to worry about.

Easy claims means no headache
The online claim process makes filing a claim incredibly easy. So far we have used our policy to cover our puppy’s first few visits and vaccinations as well as an emergency overnight stay. I am more than pleased with the coverage of this policy and the ease of filing claims.

So easy for my busy life style
I chose Nationwide because of the cost and access to preventative coverage. But, like with all pet insurance, I was dreading having to deal with paying out of pocket and submitting claims via mail or fax after vet visits because we work 60-70 hrs per week and was afraid we would forget and lose money. Not to mention the added time dealing with depositing reimbursement checks. Nationwide‘s app took care of that concern!! I can submit a photo of a receipt, prescription, or an emailed pdf file as soon as I get home from the vet appointment. The app is so easy to use! After I submit a claim, Nationwide emails me to notify they received the claim, when certain costs go towards the deductible, and when it’s time to accept the reimbursement online. That’s right, I can also do direct deposit of the reimbursement checks! Saves me precious time that I can then spend loving my pups! Highly recommend!
