My monthly rate has SKYROCKETED!!!!

My monthly rate has SKYROCKETED!!!!! The question on the application and ‘days insured’ doesnt make sense at all. I’m currently getting new quotes from other insurance companies.

There are plenty of pet insurance…

There are plenty of pet insurance providers wanting pet-owners money! After a couple days of researching them, checking complaints filed against them, reading the many unfavorable customer surveys, my choice to go with MetLife Pet Insurance was an easy decision. They have few complaints filed, many satisfied customer reviews and pricing was within budget. Will leave updated review in a year!

Paying two payments in one month it's hard for someone at poverty level trying to do the right thing.

I am at poverty level and it is hard for me to make the original payment and the other premium payment in the same month to sign up... Because of this my cats and I will be lacking until next month.

Completely disappointed in Embrace Pet…

Completely disappointed in Embrace Pet Insurance. I was a loyal customer for over 20 years. This year they increased my premium from $2748/yr for $8000 coverage to $6720/yr. Huge increase all at once. Embrace recommemded I increase deductible and decrease coverage. Absolutely ridiculous and offensive!

MET LIFE PET INSURANCE IS A SCAM!!!

I would not recommend MetLife Pet Insurance to anyone. I have a 10-month-old cat who has been to the vet a handful of times and has never been diagnosed with any conditions. I recently started a new job and enrolled in MetLife’s pet insurance. I submitted a claim for a routine appointment, expecting it to go toward my deductible, but it was denied due to a “pre-existing condition.” What’s even more frustrating is that the insurance company essentially assigned my cat a diagnosis that no vet has ever given him—which is ridiculous. I reached out a week ago asking for an explanation and a reevaluation, and I still haven’t heard anything back. To make matters worse, I paid for the entire year upfront, so now I feel like I’ve completely wasted that money instead of putting it toward coverage that actually supports my cat’s health. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience, and I would strongly caution others before choosing MetLife Pet Insurance. Met life- I would love a response from you guys!

Year 2, so far so good

I’m going into year two with prudent pet and so far they’ve been great. They handled and paid out on my claims for some serious medical visits and follow up surgery for a new condition. Customer service staff has been great and answer pretty quickly by phone. My renewal recently came in and my premium somehow went down $1/month. There were some initial issues getting a claim processed because the initial medical history documents I sent and had not been properly filed and stored by prudent pet and required several follow up calls. This is the reason I downgraded a Star. This was really frustrating because I continued to speak with reps who said it was being expedited but continued to be held up. So it took over a month to get the first claim reviewed and processed, but once the documents were properly filed by a prudent pet the claims got paid out in a timely manner. Overall I’m happy with the service.

Kept increasing drastically

We bought this insurance when we got our puppy. He is a pure bread dog and go through several rounds of training at a service dog facility & they want the dog insured. I thought when you get insurance, the cost is not jacked up each year, especially when there have been only a few very minor claims. It started out at $88.14 and we paid that for 8 months, it went up to $105 for the next year, then up to $132.05 year 3, $184.14 and I raised the deductible to $1k and brought it down to $132.63. It just keeps going up and now we are in for $4686 premiums paid. We only had a few minor claims that it saved us a few hundred dollars on the vet visit. If the policy keeps going up, its hard to say if it is worth it or not. They say its based on what vet costs are in my area but jeeze.

Quick decisive comprehensive quotes

Quick decisive comprehensive quotes. I also like that your plans had different deductibles. Other companies I looked at showed flat $500 deductible. Overall cost is very competitive.
