Great Coverage & Affordability!
I was referred to Nationwide from my co-worker who said they have outstanding coverage and are very affordable. Sure enough, they were! I had about 10 claims out within the first 2 mos of having my 9 week old puppy and he got staph infection. Nationwide covered almost all of my claims within 30 days! Thank you so much and I have referred you to all my friends for pet insurance!

Cost of premium from 73 to $106. I am in shock.
I have been very pleased with Nationwide. However, over a $30 increase per month is excessive! I am very disappointed in that part of Nationwide.

Fraudulent bunch of scammers
Trupanion SUCKS. AVOID If your pet is injured, as of course, the vet examines them to see what is wrong and then treats it, trupanion doesn't pay for the Examination. How else is the vet supposed to treat the pet if they don't LOOK at it first? Also anything that involved breathing is a pre-existing condition and they apply a $200 deducitlbe to EVERYTHING. SO my dog was vomiting and had other gastro issues. A $920 bill paid out only about $90. They would not cover half the bill for the vet taking a look at her to see what was wrong becuase they "don't cover examinations" and they then applied a $200 deductible (not the first time this year--they apply a deductibe for each new issue, not per year) and paid $90 of what was left. Its a total scam--don't get it!

Not worth the monthly premiums
Ultimately, this insurance was a rip-off. While we had accepted the fact that a high deductible would make nearly all vet visits unclaimable, we didn't expect to be denied coverage of an expensive visit that included an ultrasound because our dog's vomiting.

Trupanion has made an unexpected injury to my dog manageable for me. I never ever thought we would actually need to make any claims, but I am so glad I had this insurance! My claim has been paid in a very timely manner. Without Trupanion I would not have been able to afford the treatment.

Excellent prompt courteous service.
Trupanion is very nice and great in responding quickly to processings claims in accordance with my pet's medical insurance policy agreement. The only negative being that veterinary examinations are not covered.
