I am glad I have insurance for both my Dobermann dogs. The coverage could be better though. We took our 8 year old into see why he has severe neck pain and a MRI was needed to make a diagnosis. We paid $1600.00 out of pocket and the insurance paid $0. We have been with you for 8 yrs with Diezel and 5 with Kira. I also am disappointed that we can not up our coverage for Kira to include teeth cleaning. This is a major preventative procedure that all dogs need. Pre-approval for procedures and even billing could help pet parents much more than having to pay out of pocket first and getting paid later. I really hope you read our comments and make changes accordingly.

Nationwide IS on my side!
I’ve had pet insurance since 2013. Truthfully, and much to my regret, I rarely utilized the insurance...HUGE MISTAKE! My pet required surgery for a torn acl & meniscus. Needless to say that procedure was costly. However thanks to my pet insurance all I had to pay was the deductible. The premiums are reasonable & manageable. The customer service care is outstanding. No lack of communication...I love that. I’ve been telling all my pet owner friends about Nationwide Pet Insurance. I also put a policy on my other pet. No clue why I hadn’t done that before. Anyway, my experience with Nationwide and filing claims has been pretty darn good! I look forward to a long relationship with the company. None of my dogs will ever go w/o this pet insurance again. Coupled with Major Medical Plus the Wellness Rider is awesome. Thanks Nationwide for really being on my side.

Quickly pays claims, easy to use.
Trupanion is great at paying claims quickly. My girl is now 11 and have had Trupanion for her entire life, my only 2 complaints are the rates went up steadily, and wish there were more wellness services covered.

Very pleased
I am very pleased with the ASPCA pet insurance I have for both of my dogs. I had issues before when the plans were based on reasonable and customary rates which created far too low of reimbursements, but the the insurer listened to their customers and all plans are now based on the billed amount, making it much clearer for you to know what to expect when you seek treatment from a vet. Claims are handled quickly and easily. Customer service is top notch. I recommend them to all my pet owning friends!

Great per insurance company
Nationwide pet insurance helped my dog in need when she got bit by an insect. Once I met my deductible, Nationwide was able to reimburse me most of the costs from the vet visits for my pet.

My first and only Pet Insurance
I get healthy paws for all my 5 cats with Healthy Paws. It is easy to insure, easy to claim, quick to reimburse, and best customer services. It is a relief that I do not need to worry about how I will pay for the medical charges incurred by my cats. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who inquired me about pet insurance, and advice anyone I met at the vet whey they speak about how they should select what to treats due to costs.

Insurance the way it should be
You never know if you have good insurance until you go to use it. I was leery to buy insurance for my dog at such an old age. My cocker spaniel and favorite canine ever - Baxter- is 13 so the premiums are higher than if he was young of course. But the fact is, he is more likely to need expensive coverage as he aged. Such was the case. He was an active little guy and a short stop of sorts when chasing a ball when younger. But he tore his cruciate ligament 4 months ago and that was my first claim. Surgery was about $6,000. My policy paid 80% of that. Seamlessly. Then Baxter developed a weakness in his back legs and began to sleep a lot and drink water excessively. After several tests they determined he has Cushing's disease. Again, ASPCA came through with nothing challenged when it came to the coverage. These were all new conditions and they paid exactly what I anticipated. Fact is, this insurance has paid for itself a million times over already. I don't have to be concerned with running up thousands and thousands of dollars - which I would in a heartbeat- to care for my little guy. I have a golden who is also aging. She is 12 and healthy but even if something comes up, I know I'm covered for the bulk of it. I couldn't give a stronger recommendation for ASPCA. They have been incredible.

This is the worst insurance company I've dealt so far.
I insured my dog for 8 years, ever year they increased the price and the deductible, for 4 years I didn't have any claim, once my dog had a surgery they totally changed the plan, increased the deductible 400% than the original price. They are just there to get money the moment you need it they increase everything so much that is not worth it at all.
