Disappointed - Premium Increase just 1 year in (not used it even once)
I chose Healthy Paws for their manageable premiums and mostly online people did not report premium increases. It is only after you receive a nice "your premium has been increased" you realize they find that there's a fineprint allowing them to do just that. Disappointed as I didn't get to enjoy the coverage even once and here I am paying more!

Our dog, Levi had an injury over a month ago. Follow-up visits and prescription costs have been adding up over the first few weeks and now the unexpected coronavirus financial impact adds additional strain. Having Nationwide Insurance in place has taken the stress out of taking care of our Levi!

Great company. Made top noch health care available for my poor doggy
Very pleased with this insurance. Unfortunately my dog got sick and required several visits to the vet. This took all the stress out of the experience making sure my dog got the best of care. Reimbursements were made within 2 or 3 weeks which is fine.

So glad we chose Nationwide
So relieved I went with Nationwide for my golden retriever pup!! We have had to file claims for help with a few medical bills. Even though it turned out to be something easy to fix, watching him not eating, not gaining enough weight and vomiting in the mornings was heartbreaking. We found a vet we love and now all he needs is an acid reducer pill. He is eating, not throwing up bile or food anymore and happy/playful. Nationwide gave me such great assistance from being able to switch vets, being able to pay for different tests needed, paying my claims quickly...and most of the bills were paid!! They are VERY fair. I’m also happy I got both the wellness and illness/injury plans. Well worth the premiums!!!!!!! They really do care about your pets.

great customer service with peace of mind
It was super easy to file the claim. Although Mia went for a wellness exam and vaccines, I know the heartache of having to suffer along with a fur baby that is very I'll and trying to provide the best care possible on a limited budget. I am so glad for nationwide. After using the insurance I have peace of mind that if Mia would need care due to an illness or injury I would be able to give her the care and attention she needs without an additional burden of cost. Thank you

Overall I really like Nationwide. I'm sorry they restrict pre existing conditions because my other dog has PetPlan which was the only thing available to her when she was a baby 8 years ago. I'd move her over to Nationwide in a minute, but she has allergies and high blood pressure. Petplan doesn't cover wellness and that's what I don't like about it. I keep my pets healthy with regular vet visits so I won't have a major incident which is the only thing Petplan is good for.

Very easy to submit claims and receive reimbursement timely.
Very efficient and to let on reimbursements. It’s been a very goo service for my pet, however, my policy went up 55% and I feel it was due to my recent claim. I have the same coverage but opted for the $250. Deductible instead of what I had been paying ($100 deductible) and it’s still a lot more monthly. I feel it’s not fair and my let doesn’t have a major illness and her medication is very inexpensive. It was the procedures that were expensive.

Best decision ever!
I’m so thankful I made the decision to insure my pet through Pets Best. My 8 month old Shih Tzu puppy got an abrasion on his eye in early February. This abrasion quickly led to a corneal ulcer, which developed into a melting ulcer and led to a complete enoculation of the eye. Over the course of 5 days I had almost $2000 in vet visits, medicine and surgery costs. I quickly and easily uploaded a picture of each of my receipts on Pets Best website and within just a few short weeks I received reimbursement at 90% less my copay & deductible. I was able to make a tough decision easier knowing that Pets Best was there to help with the costs. Thank you for offering this service and I will be sure to tell all my pet owner friends about you!
