Love Trupanion
Trupanion makes it so easy. With the health problems my dog has I don't know what I would do without Trupanion. Because of them I am able to give my dog the care he needs. Thank you Trupanion.

Use the policy & they will drop your pet
I loved this policy for years. It was easy to submit claims. We spent far more on the policy than we received in reimbursements for claims, but I figured it was a way to mitigate risk. It was offered as a benefit that could be added (for a cost) at my work. Fast forward many years and our german shepherd is 10years... went to vet emergency room one weekend with an eye infection. They decided it was allergies causing a resultant eye infection. He got allergy shots at our regular vet. We thought that was it, the dog was better. Then we got a letter in the mail saying that they were dropping us from the policy. We could get a new policy with them, but the allergies would now be a pre-existing condition. Don't expect to have the policy forever...If you use it, they will drop you or change the plan, so that your dog has "pre-existing" conditions

Nationwide takes the worry out of insuring your pet stays healthy!
Every claim I have ever submitted to Nationwide has been taken care of within a couple of weeks. Using the Vitus Vet App could not be easier. the cost of the insurance is appropriate and gives me a piece of mind. I am sure for many it helps to defer the cost of caring for this special member of their family. I wish I had known how wonderful having this insurance is for all the previous dogs we've had!

This if first year to participate with this insurance program and so far great company to work with. Their customer service is awesome (available 24/7) very good at explaining policies, coverage, claims, processes. With pet care expenses I found this to be very helpful to ensure my pets are healthy and the cost is managed.

Continue to be impressed. Noticed this took a few days longer than previous claims, I assume due to the amount, but still super super happy. I know people who crowd fund for vet bills, Trupanion is SUCH a better way to go!

I'm extremely pleased with my experience from getting a preapproval for the procedure to paying the vet directly. It is worth the every penny having the peace of mind knowing I don't need to front the cost and them waiting to be reimbursed.

Fair service, steep premium
Having been a NatPet insurance client for over 4 years, I can’t recall a single time when I have been reimbursed the full amount of my claims, always something (NA, service not covered, deductibles etc etc ). In my last claim I have been cut $100 short at once because of deductions, but my point is I never expected the full reimbursement (not nice). Also the premium start around $50 dollars for each dog is now almost $88. The premiums increase will be worst since I have another dog to be covered by insurance, but definitely we need to get an agreement about prices because I can not afford to paid that much insurance (3)three times .
