A gamble
Except for one minor surgery I haven't benefitted from having this policy. My vet has convinced me that as my dog ages anything could happen. So I continue to pay over $50 a month while also paying high vet bills because the policy doesn't cover or I haven't met the deductible. Somethings not right with this picture.

I would have given 100 if that option was available. Our pet was diagnosed with brain tumor a few months ago and because of Trupanion and their team, we were able to choose the best treatment available out there for him. Getting the insurance for our pet from Trupanion was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.

Thank goodness we had this.
Thank goodness we had this. Most of you know puppies can get into anything and especially if they are a chewer. Our Beau had chewed through a number of his beds and his blankets. after 2 visits to our regular vet we went to a emergency vet hospital and they diagnosed him in 2 mins. he had a thread from something he chewed wrapped underneath his tongue and down both sides of his throat. Needless to say these 3 visits were costly but thank goodness we were covered and were able to recover almost all money we put out.

Peace of Mind
My 8 year old Corgi mix had a lump under his arm. I took him to the vet for and exam and biopsy. Thank God it was benign. Nationwide honored my claim quickly and paid all but $3.00 of the vet bill.

LITERALLY saved Frankenstein's life
Frankenstein was recently admitted for emergency surgery for a GI blockage after getting into some nonsense while I was out of town. I was wrestling with the idea of having to put him down because I could not afford the surgery on its own. He is a perfectly healthy dog otherwise and knowing that people go through this internal struggle all the time because they can't afford vet bills is heart breaking. LUCKILY, I've been a Nationwide member since I got Frank, and knew it'd be ok. Every person I know, who has a pet, knows I will lecture them about the importance of vet insurance and how many times it's saved Frank and I.
