Purchased insurance at the beginning of rescuing out first dog, always hoped we Would never have to use it, but just in case we had it. The day came where our pup grew a tumor and ended up being cancer and in the end had to amputate his rear leg.... I contacted Trupanion and they were direct billed and paid very quickly...I paid other appointments out of pocket and submitted receipts and was paid back within days...months later again had to have another claim which ended up putting my dog down, Trupanion automatically cancelled my policy and refunded me the rest of my month..very satisfied with the company and will definitely do Business with them again. Thank You Trupanion!

So far it appears that you are going to pay the claim and the people I have dealt with seem knowledgeable. There is an issue not yet resolved. I have paid the bill to the animal hospital. I paid the hospital 50% of the emergency estimate before they started treatment as required. The claim is not paid yet. I will reserve my recommendation when this claim is actually paid.
