Great online portal

I really like the online claims portal. It allows me to submit everything very easily and I can check to see where my claims are at in the process. I also really like the direct deposit reimbursement - no more driving to the bank!

100% satisfied

Claim notification comes immediately after the vet submits it through an email. Following payment is also processed within a few days which never happened with the policy I had with another insurance company. Even when there was a delay, I received an email notifying me about the delay and its reason. I am 100% satisfied!

I can say it in one word “AWESOME”! Thank you

I have nothing but wonderful experiences with Nationwide. It’s an amazing company for dog insurance. Payment never takes more than 2 weeks from time it is submitted and payment has been wonderful especially when both our dogs needed knee surgery. I’m glad I took Nationwide over other dog insurances. Thank you Nationwide

Great Company To Work With

We have had Trupanion for 8 years for our dog and 5 years for our cat. Our premium for the two of them is currently $113/month (goes up every year). For the past 2 months, our cat has had a severe medical problem requiring critical care, blood transfusions, bone marrow biopsy, a feeding tube, numerous lab tests, numerous meds, special diet, and he was recently put back into Critical Care yesterday for an infection of his feeding tube. Things are not looking good.. So far the bills have run approximately $17K and Trupanion has paid his claims promptly. The first claim usually takes awhile since they have to get the paperwork and info from the vet, etc., but since then our claims have been processed very quickly. No, they don't pay for exam visits (including our CC dr. visits which are $125) or taxes (here in MI 6%), but without this insurance we would have had to put him down two months ago. Like I said, things are not looking too good today, but at least if we have to make a decision to euthanize, at least it won't be due to cost. They have been supportive and kind when communicating with them. Can't ask for too much more than that. I would also recommend that people look into CareCredit; they have a six months/year same as cash for veterinary care.

Trupanion knocks it out of the park!!!

I enrolled my puppy with Trupanion recently and had the worst happen. She broke her leg and ended up in emergency at the vet hospital only days later. Luckily the accident happened after the waiting period had ended but only by a few days. I was very impressed as the dog needed to have a plate and pins implanted to fix the bone and Trupanion covered it all. Between the surgery for the broken leg and all of the follow up care Trupanion paid about $6,000 dollars. The best part is the vet submits the invoice to Trupanion and I don't have to pay anything upfront. Trupanion pays the vet directly 90% less taxes, the initial deductible and the exam fee. Pretty good deal. Very easy to deal with.
