Happy customer
I signed up with MetLife Pet Insurance during my companies open enrollment Nov. 2022 with coverage going in effect Jan. 1, 2023. I have had nothing but positive experiences with MetLife and I have filed several claims. Keep up the good job MetLife.

Insurance that cares & pays... no yearly deductibles!!!!!
Trupanion stood by me when I lost my first Boxer 3 years ago I don't know what I would've done without them by my side. I've referred countless people even strangers to Trupanion and I know of some that signed on and have been just as happy as myself. Not too long ago. There was a story on the today show that was a terrible miss representation of Trupanion. The person they interviewed spoke of and experience with Trupanion that's totally foreign to myself and others that I have recommended to Trupanion. It really upset me because I know how people believe things I see on TV and I just hope and pray that people did their homework before son gone with another insurance company for their pet, if there's one thing that I would change about Trupanion and is the only thing that I would change it's that if they had a credit card top payment for upfront bill to pay the veterinarian so I didn't have to come up with money on the spot I know only one other pet insurance that does that there are other rates are much higher though, because you pay a yearly deductible instead of a per illness deductible for the lifetime of your pet sometimes it is hard to come up with thousands of dollars but I would never stray from Trupanion. In closing I will just say everyone I've ever spoke to that represents Trupanion on the phone has been so kind so patient and always ask about my pet and how he's doing. That's the one I lost and my current boxer I love Trupanion. 🩷
SPOT is a fraudulent company
SPOT insurance is a fraudulent company that refuses to cover vet bills. My dog was seen for an ear infections related to wet ears. SPOT denied the claim because my dog had previously been seen at an emergency vet when she rolled in grass and had foxtails embedded in her ears. SPOT stated that my pet had a pre-existing condition of ear infections which is untrue because foxtail removal from ears is NOT related to allergies or infections. Spot then claims that my dog was diagnosed with allergies and allergies are a non-curable condition therefore SPOT will not cover any visit or prescription related to allergies. SPOT then continues to state that my dog's ear infection is related to allergies. My dog was NEVER diagnosed with allergies or seen by a vet for allergies until the visit when I submitted a claim. For each claim and each appeal I have filed I have been given a different excuse as to why my claim was denied. I was a customer for a few months which is why I believe my claim was denied because SPOT would not have received enough money in premiums to cover the cost of the claim reimbursement. If the excuses for denial were consistent I would be more likely to believe that SPOT was not a fraudulent company, however they know what to say and how to manipulate medical records to deny payment for a claim.

happy to have pet insurance
My dog had TPLO surgery and it was rather costly. I was lucky to have a good pet insurance company like Healthy Paws. They handled my claim promptly and within a few weeks, I received my reimbursement. Healthy Paws immediately contacted me that they received my claim...and upon reimbursement, reached out and inquired as to how my dog was doing. I was happy to have the personal touch. I am very pleased I chose Healthy Paws.

Pet insurance
My vet software dropped comment on a visit back in 2022 which was not true! I worked with Met Life to provide details. My vet was finally able to provide a correct record and email saying he had a software issue. My claim was paid out at 90%! I will be finding a new vet for sure! Thank you to the customer service team!!!

Thousands spent with no cosideration. Price gouge for seinor dogs that have been with Healthy Paws for years.
Almost 5 years,I have been with this company since January 2019 . I had 2 dogs covered paying over $300 monthly. I never made a claim and never missed a payment before a debit card change in July. My payments were on auto pay. I called as soon as I discovered an issue less than 3 weeks from cancellation. They canceled my policy 30 days later with no reinstatement option. They couldn't care less about the fact that we have been long term clients with no claims and now my dogs are older and it will be hard to get reasonable coverage for them .They are supposed to care about pets , they are part of a non-profit , but they are really just concerned about their bottom line and no concern at all for the fact that my dogs are older now 12yrs and 10yrs and more likely to be having a claim in the later years of their life with absolutely no consideration for the fact that they have made thousands of dollars off of my dogs youth and health. The new quote is double the payment amount with 30-40 percent less coverage with 4x the deductible - Total RIP OFF from a company that has made thousands off of these two dogs with 0 claims for so many years. The reps got real rude and defensive when I let them know I wanted to escalate a complaint. They would not give me a viable method to file a formal complaint. He first gave a PO Box to mail a complaint. I asked for other options and whether somone could contact me . He sarcastically suggested BBB so I have complained there as well. Don't subscribe to Healthy paws. If you love your dogs, keep researching and get coverage with a company that loves pets too!!!

Othelia, We understand that there are times a policyholder's credit card used on the policy could be lost, compromised by fraud or that there may be a change in bank accounts, expiration date, etc. When an account goes into suspension due to the fact that we are unable to bill the card on file, we make every effort to keep policyholders up to date and informed about the status of their account. Multiple notices are sent via email, and a Notice of (upcoming) Cancellation is sent out via regular post as well. There is also an automatic grace period that is taken into account. However, if we do not hear back from the primary account holder (prior to the cancellation effective date) the account must be canceled. In order to be equitable to all enrolled pet parents, we cannot make any exceptions to this policy. Your email complaint has been provided to management and our customer service team member provided you with our address if you want to submit a written complaint.
Negative 5 stars - DO NOT RECOMMEND
the absolute worst insurance broker I have ever dealt with. Do NOT recommend them! Started our one and only claim after paying premiums they had no problem collecting for a year, in May 2023 for a basic vet visit, tests, anticiotics, and retest to confirm the issue was gone. It's Sept 5th, and we still don't have payment. It took them almost two months once they had documents from every vet our dog had ever seen since we had her to process our claim and approve it. Then they "apparently" entered banking information wrong so it didn't process, lied that they had submitted payment (but the bank confirmed they have never tried to submit) and promised they would deal with it last week, said it takes several days to process once it is submitted - which is a lie the bank confirmed this morning - as direct deposits when submitted are immediate, and the PPU team refuse to let you talk to anyone other than their entry-level customer service agents who can't help you at all, and when you ask to wait on hold until they resolve your issue, which would take 10-15 minutes, they hang up on you instead, and don't bother to call back. And their Ombudsman can't help you either. If you are bored and don't have a job already and want to work full time to get paid for a claim you carried insurance for, sign up. Otherwise - stay as far away from Pets Plus Us, Northbridge who is the underwriter, and the Ombudsman works for Independence Pet Group www.pethealthinc.com - worst waste of my time ever.

They rob me for 2 years
The Fetch Pet Insurance is an easy way to rob people in need that loves their pets the customer service line is terrible you can't get through with a live person.I have Fetch for 2 years now and the first time I submitted a claim because it was an emergency my claim was denied. I sent the all documents they were required and their answer was a nonsence response for the denial. I would be nice to know before I spend thousands of dollars that FETCH TRULY DOES NOT COVER ANYTHING AND THEY JUST STEAL YOUR MONEY.

Good Insurance
I got this insurance in case of something unexpected. I didn't expect to actually use this insurance for such a young dog but my 2-year-old Corgi ended up with multiple bouts of Colitis and we are still searching for the cause. Healthy Paws has reimbursed quickly and has been super easy to work with. I'm so glad I elected to go with them when I got our Corgi. I don't worry about the vet bills so much now that I know they reimburse quickly and easily.
