This company has absolutely no concept of customer service whatsoever, I suggest you read the reviews, there are much more negative reviews than positive. On YYC Dogs a thread started about insurance, there was only one positive on pets plus us. As another stated run, pick another insurance company. I should have read the reviews. I waited three months for an answer to a question regarding an ‘anything related to’ , I even got an insurance ombudsman involved, still no reply. After I cancelled, not once did anyone from this insurance company reach out to resolve this issue. I plan on making it my mission to sharing my experience everywhere. I am heavily involved in the dog world completing, volunteering, coaching and judging. My work provides me access to federal employees, I told two friends and they told two friends etc etc.

Everything got solved fairly quick and I'm happy about my experience
My 8-year-old domestic long hair cat had emergency surgery for intestinal obstruction, we started healthy paw plan in 2020 and this is the first time she needs to use it. To be honest, I'm happy with their process speed, my claims got solved in 10 business days. They did request medical history so I suggest keeping all the records even if your pet is healthy.

We have had dog insurance since our dog was born. Seven years in we have never had an issue with Nationwide. Easy filing a claim, usually within a week I get a message that claim has been paid.

MetLife is Amazing for Maltipoos!
This is our first pet insurance ever. We decided to choose this one because of great reviews and affordability comparing to others. First of all, I think it’s important you get the “Preventative care” add-on as it covers the regular visits, vaccines, and routine (including dental and neutering). After that make sure you download and register in the app. From there submission of the documents and the whole process for claims is a breeze! You just upload the receipt from the vet and that’s it! First time, you need to upload the 12-month doctor’s notes only once. Review of the claims is slightly longer than they say but we we don’t mind as every claim was approved and we were not bothered during the review process. If needed they will reach out to the vet directly. Our friends had other providers and always had issues but MetLife was always there for us and we will keep this insurance forever. Thank you, MetLife!

I want to first say that I am thankful for having the opportunity to sign up for pet insurance after adopting my third dog from a rescue in which I volunteer. Our rescue offers MetLife for a month after adopting. I never had insurance for my dogs until I adopted my most recent dog. After my month I decided to continue coverage for both of my dogs. One of the best decisions I could have ever made. MetLife's customer service is ALWAYS friendly and very PATIENT with their clients. ESPECIALLY with clients like me who ask a lot of questions and who often repeats the same question. They really listen to your needs. I wish all insurance companies would treat their clients like MetLife. I had to submit a few claims since having Metlife. Downloading their app. makes it that much easier. Their turn around after submitting a claim is unbelievable. I would recommend MetLife to all my doggie friends. Thank you, MetLife!!!

Love ASPCA insurance
I have had my insurance from2017 to current. I love this company, when my dog was very young he was sick a lot and at some point was in the hospital for a week. ASPCA never question his stay or the procedures that were done and did what they could to reimburse me in a timely matter. Every claim I have sent for process has never been denied and if they had additional questions they reached out to the VET to clarify and then continued the reimbursement process. So happy that I have insurance. With my first pup I dd not and had absorbent amount of cash that was spent to treat various illness, accidents and finally his battle with cancer. I promised myself if I got another fur baby I was getting insurance. Thank you ASPCA. they keep in contact with you and advise if a slow down is occurring and that they work diligently to reimburse you. I scan claim, they responded and then once complete deposit the refund in my acct. xoxo

Excellent Service
Was able to make same day appt with my vet for unwell doggy who had back pain and decreased mobility. The vet had my Trupanion info on file and. Submitted all claims etc directly to insurer. As this was my first time using my pet insurance I was a little concerned re: coverage, submissions, etc, plus worried about pet. Thought it was going to be a hassle. Turned out to be intervertrebal disc disease. After X-rays, bloodwork, etc. following treatment, pet vastly improved and on bed rest for next 2 Weeks. Trupanion paid then and there, that day their portion of the claim and I didn’t have to do a thing! So impressed with seamless and easy transaction. They kept me in constant communication. Very happy with both vet and Trupanion..
Spot is the worst. Do not use this company or any C&F funded pet insurance.
Spot Pet Insurance tried to commit insurance fraud with me and hid from over 30 emails to CEOs asking for help including CEO Trey and President Scott. I won a BBB complaint. Now Spot is 1) cyberstalking me to selectively remove all negative reviews about them on Trustpilot apparently, since they are slandering me and suggesting I am writing all the negative reviews which sounds extremely paranoid of them. How creepy is it that they scour the web trying to remove honest negative reviews? Who does that? 2) Not bad enough these dirtbags tried to get away w/ insurance fraud, in my opinion, they were sneaky, told the BBB they’d pay me and now are refusing to pay me unless I sign away all rights to say anything about them including posting honest reviews AND they are ridiculously wanting me to waive all rights to file anything against them “from the beginning of time”. They have not responded to those 30 emails, to my 2 emailed requests to reasonably modify the contract they sent and they are the scum of the earth. I have met others who feel similarly, many, and am so glad to be out of their clutches. Such thin-skinned bullies and thieves, this company is pure trash and cares so much more for money than animals IMO.
