So far, this has been really beneficial for my dog! The app is easy to use & its easy to submit a claim. The only downsides are, 1. They didn't tell me that I had to submit a years worth of vet info into the portal or online when we initially get the policy. I had submitted for a claim when we purchased Simparica Trio & it was stating it needed more information, but wasn't listing what was needed. I highly suggest for them to make an update on that process. 2. It takes a long time for them to process claims. I submitted my most recent claim on 11/2/24 and we just received the approval yesterday 12-3-24 & it will take an addtl 2-3 business days for the payment to post to our bank account. But I have not been denied for any claims. We purchased this over the phone & customer service was amazing. I've even had to call in a couple times and the customer srevice both other times were amazing as well, US based customer service too! My husband is a first responder and they give discounts which is also a plus. Overall, I would purchase this again for my dog, but they definitely have a little tweaking to do.

I am so glad the Nevada Humane Society told us about MetLife Pet Insurance when we adopted our cat. This is excellent. Within the very first month I had to get my cat surgery for his teeth, and they reimbursed quite a lot. I was hardly expecting anything. This was my first month after all. But the claims filing was quick, and they reimbursed me very quickly. The options for receiving the reimbursement were quick and through. I filed my claim on Nov 27. I was notified about the reimbursement by Dec 9. I am so glad I got this insurance. My benefits were clearly explained, and I am very satisfied. Thanks to this, I will be able to take good care of my cat.
Worst insurance.. run!!
When i asked why they would not cover my $800 invoice from my vet for my dog who was diagnosed with pancreatitis they told me my dog had a pre-existing condition when he did not. I asked why they said that and they said because i told the vet he was sick the with the sicknees the night before. What the ?? Also it took them over a month to determine this bull

Excellent service
Never carried insurance for our dogs. My friend is a vet and recommended I purchase insurance thru Pets Best. Very glad I did. Excellent customer service, easy to submit claims and worth the cost. Very happy I listened to my friend.
Easy to use great insurance
It is easy to file a claim and they respond quickly. The claims are paid quickly and are easy to understand. I am very satisfied with them and would highly recommend.
Great portsl
The online portal is really easy to use. You can download forms with your details on them and submit them digitally with photos of your soap notes and receipts. Couldn’t be easier. Can take 4-6 weeks for reimbursement but everything is really streamlined on the user end.
East claim submission and fast payment
After emergency treatment for a dog bite, we were left with a few thousand dollars in vet bills. I submitted a claim directly through the portal by filling out a few questions and uploading the pdfs of the bills. I was able to check the status of my claim right in the portal. Once a decision was made, it was explained very clearly and the payment came through in a few days. Thank goodness we had Pets Best!

A Complete Scam - Avoid Pets Best at All Costs!
If you’re considering Pets Best Insurance, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. They have made every excuse imaginable to avoid paying a single claim, twisting the vet’s words and inventing loopholes to deny coverage. Even with clear documentation from my veterinarian, they somehow found a way to reinterpret or outright dismiss it. It felt like they were more focused on protecting their profits than providing the coverage they advertise. Every claim turned into a drawn-out battle, only to be met with another denial and zero accountability. This is not pet insurance—it’s an expensive illusion. I paid my premiums on time and trusted them to have my pet’s back, but all I got was stress and wasted time. If you value your money and your peace of mind, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Pets Best. They’re the worst.

I’ve been a customer for about 11 years, I have two dogs, I like Pets Best because you can choose your coverage and deductible, they also offer a wellness plan that covers vaccinations and other preventive services. My account is easy to access and navigate. Uploading my vet bills are easy, once you upload your bills they immediately give you a response that your claim has been received. They also notify you if there is additional information needed and if there is a delay in processing.
