Great solution for pet insurance
While initially hesitant about pet insurance, we decided the risk just wasn't worth it when bringing home our new rescue pup at 3 months. Healthy Paws was recommended to us, so we began paying the $30/month around this time, assuming we would never use it. Unfortunately, around 7 months, our pup began getting sick - and often. We hit the $250 HP deductible relatively quickly, where afterwards we began getting reimbursed 80% for all medical costs (minus the initial $100 vet fee each time). The process through Healthy Paws is quick, easy and consistent - one picture of your vet bill and within a week, we usually have a check in hand. Our pup was eventually diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy, where the number of tests ran us thousands of dollars. True to their policy, Healthy Paws covered 80% of everything, subsequently saving us thousands of dollars. Their customer service has also been great, and has generally made our challenging experience a significant amount easier.

So thankful for Healthy Paws for saving my cat!
I had heard bad things about pet insurance in the past, but after reading some of the positive reviews online for Healthy Paws, I decided to sign up for my eight year old kitty. 45 days later, I was stunned when I came home and found her lying unresponsive on the couch. I rushed her to the nearest emergency room and she was found to have severe pancreatitis and diabetes - two problems that had been completely absent on all of her previous labwork just two months before. Her case was so severe that she required an oxygen chamber and temporary feeding tube placement, and all in all, the cost of the hospitalization was $12,500 plus medication expenses and follow-ups. When I filed my claim, Healthy Paws gave me NO problems whatsoever, and the person I talked to on the phone (Ryan) was so compassionate and helpful. Within a week, I got the check for the hospital reimbursement, and the other checks came shortly after. I love my cat from the bottom of my heart and she's been there with me through so many of my own medical problems - I am so glad I signed up for Healthy Paws so that I was able to save her life, as well, when the time came that she needed me. The most amazing part is there are NO annual limits or exclusions. Healthy Paws covered her hospitalization, surgery, medications, glucose meter and supplies, and will continue to do so. Do yourself a favor and sign up for this company if you love your pet!!!
