Worth it!

ASPCA has been extremely helpful to me this year! Unfortunately, my dog has had quite a few vet visits this year, but ASPCA has responded quickly and helped make the bills affordable.

Peace of Mind

I signed up for Nationwide Pet Insurance about a year before my cat was diagnosed with diabetes. When you are dealing with a sick pet, the bills can really add up-between regular check-ups to monitor the condition, medications and supplies on top of routine exams. Having pet insurance has provided me such peace of mind, knowing whatever happens, Nationwide will be there to help. As a pet owner, you want to do whatever to provide for your animal and Nationwide is so timely with reimbursements. I work in health insurance, so it's easy for me to understand the Explanation of Benefits they send out but I believe someone without that level of experience would find it a fairly easy to understand process too, however sometimes the descriptions of denials are a bit confusing even for someone who understands insurance. Because they only give the code, dollar amount and how it processed, it requires you to go back to the bill and compare each line to see what it was for and why it paid the way it did-it would be easier if it gave a description (i.e. "Office visit" or "Medication" etc. I know any future pets I have I will be signing them up right away. Also, having it be auto-drafted from my paycheck makes it even easier!

Healthy Paws has been wonderful!

Healthy Paws has been awesome! When we decided to get an English bulldog we knew we’d need the best insurance possible since they’re prone to many ailments. Unfortunately our pup has experienced a few incidents already and Healthy Paws has covered all of them! They are speedy with their responses to our questions as well as reimbursement. Getting this insurance policy was the best idea we’ve made for our dog! They also reached out after Spanky had surgery to check in on him. Would recommend to anyone!

Great Coverage, no hassels

We've had our miniature poodle rescue covered for about 7 months and it has been a huge help financially. Our guy has needed alot of attention and after our deductible, 90% of our wellness expenses for him have been covered. Also are very helpful on the phone, app is easy to submit claims on, and generally minimal hassels. Would definitely Reccomend to anyone else with a dog or cat.

Scam!

I have never agreed to sign up this pet insurance. The sales person said he just going to put my card info there so if I later decide to have the pet insurance It will be easier for him to process. However he didn’t get my permission. Now I just noticed my card has been changed for 13months without me agreeing anything. And I didn’t even know I had pet insurance. Wtf!!! And they said they couldn’t refund the money cuz it’s over a year but I have never signed up. See you at the court!!!

No hassle! Nationwide delivers what it promises! It's way better and easier than my own health, dental, and auto insurance!

Their explanation of benefits and reimbursement is delivered as quickly as possible. They give you a simple, easy form and require minimal effort to give you your coverage. I met most of my deductible earlier this year. I took my cat to the emergency room resulting in a misdiagnosis on the weekend and then to a follow-up appointment at my regular vet who provided a proper diagnosis and treatment the following Tuesday. I spent a little over $1,200 and was promptly reimbursed with $1,048.75 cash. I recommend everyone get pet insurance for the peace of mind alone.
