We couldn't ask for more.
Being able to afford medical care (especially for a pet) can be difficult enough and even more difficult paying for it up front, but such is the life of a pet parent. This is definitely the next best thing. The process of submitting claims and receiving payments is quick and easy, and every time I've called customer service with a question, they were great. We couldn't ask for better.

I cannot thank enough to the team of Nationwide (formerly VPI) for all what they do for our pets. They are easy to deal with, make filing claims and payments a breeze and their coverage is fantastic. Really recommend this insurance to all friends and family with pets.

Horrible — making a bad situation worse
This company makes hard times worse by carefully digging for ways to reject any part of your claim, sending you on wild chases for additional paperwork, and never doing the legwork on your behalf. Would it kill you to contact the vet on our behalf if you need documents or clarification? I once had a claim rejected because I didn't include the diagnosis on the HAND WRITTEN claim form. 1. You should have called the hospital and 2. Should I have just hand written some crazy diagnoses on all my other rejected claims and then maybe you would have helped me out? The people on the phones are super friendly, but their hands are tied. Your company doesn't offer any kind of protection or piece of mind. Doing business with you is painful.

Getting Nationwide Pet Insurance, especially the Whole Pet Wellness Plan, has been the best investment for my family. Especially recently when my pup has been sick requiring ongoing treatment, it is great to know I have Nationwide to help with cost and make sure Rico gets the care he needs. Still trying to decide if I like Nationwide as compared to Embrace
I have received many letters telling me that my dog has too many preexisting conditions that won't be covered. I think one letter would suffice but many of them rubbing it in my face. I think Nationwide is best for those who have puppies and to stay with the company for the entire time not those who have older pets. We fought against pre-existing conditions clause for humans... that should be applied to our animals as well.
