Easy and comforting. So glad we didn't wait.

We're so grateful we chose pet insurance with Embrace from the very start. It is so totally worth it. Embrace makes it easy to make claims. Our vet is familiar with them and they help make it easy. Having a new puppy is so wonderful but not without a little more work and worry. Really glad that unexpected vet bill was not a big worry thanks to getting insurance from the get-go.

Hartville saved my pup and can save yours, too!

10 years ago no one could have ever convinced me that I would purchase health insurance for my pet. I thought it to be silly and self-indulgent. As a favor to a friend who sells insurance, I purchased a pet insurance policy because it didn't seem unreasonably expensive. Six months later, my Rottie mix rescue pup was diagnosed with Megaesophagus, a condition that does NOT have a good prognosis and that euthanasia is the typical recommendation. Because of Hartville, I have been able to get my pup the care and treatment he needs including, medications, checkups, and nutrition. The claims process is very simple, and my reimbursements are received within days of submitting my claims. The approval process for treatment is also very straightforward, and Hartville is clear on what treatments are covered for my pup before they are administered. If not for Hartville, it is unlikely that we would have been able to seek the right treatment for my pup as it would have been too big of a financial burden. My pup is not only alive but thriving because of Hartville. I have peace of mind because I know he is covered as is our Shih Tzu rescue. Any pet that is adopted into my family (and I hope to add several more) will have a policy from Hartville, and I keep encouraging anyone who will listen to do the same.

Buyer Beware

There is a 270 day limit to get claims approved. You can still submit the claims, but they will deny it. Why even bother allowing you to submit claims if it's past the time they'll pay? I tried SO MANY TIMES to submit a claim through the mobile app after the incident occurred but it wiped it out every time and wouldn't allow submission. By the time I had a chance to scan in the invoices and submit on a computer it was denied. Junk insurance where they charge you but never pay up.

Claim process takes 2 to 3 months

Its takes 2 to 3 months for Pets Best to process a claim. Even with all the documents, receipts, photos, Vets records and contact information the process is still delayed. My direct deposit has been confirmed/correct bank account but the claims department disregards and mails a check instead. Such a unpleasant exprience..not what I expected.

Nationwide allows me to take the best care of my pets without the added stress of worrying about the cost of needed care

Nationwide pet insurance has given us wonderful peace of mind knowing that if our pets need medical care, the bulk of the expense will be covered. Filing a claim is very simple and reimbursement is generally very quick. Our experience with Nationwide has been excellent.

So far so good...

I have only had this policy since April 2019. So far I have met my deductible and the returns have been very good. Submitting a claim is so easy and you can do it from your phone. Customer service answers all your questions in detail and are very pleasant. They only thing I would want to see change are the rates. They are a bit pricey.
