Reimbursement aspect of policy needs to be communicated better
Nationwide needs to better communicate the fact that this policy does not function in a manner similar to human health insurance. The claims were needlessly delayed in processing because of an unawareness on my part that this is a policy that essentially works in a manner that is "we don't pay until you pay." Claims are still processing for care that was provided back in August.

Nationwide is a great company to have my pet insured with. i couldn't ask for them to be better.
Nationwide has been wonderful company. Paco has had many, many problems and they have helped me so much. If I didn't have this coverage, I really don't know how I could afford to give him the care that he needs. They have paid every claim without any problems. On the last several claims, they have paid them within a week. I would and do recommend Nationwide and encourage people to insure their pets. Vet bills are becoming very expensive and really to keep your pet in good health, just like a person, you need to have this coverage on them too. Kudos to Nationwide.

Claims process was so seamless and quick
Our 4 month Goldendoodle, Maddie broke her leg 4 weeks ago. It happened in the evening which meant it was a visit to the emergency vet, where X-rays were taken and a splint applied. The next day we went to our vet and it was decided she needed surgery. All my claims were processed and paid within 10 days, if not sooner. They allowed all the charges except for office visits (which we knew ahead of time). I was already impressed and then I received a personal email a couple weeks after surgery asking how Maddie was doing after her surgery. They have met and exceeded my expectations. I feel safe having all 3 of my dogs insured by them.

This is the first time we have surpassed our deductible due to an illness and complications with our dog recently. Great program, watch rate increases
I have had Figo for a year and been very happy with the service. From the virtual vet (which we have used numerous times for my dog that likes to eat anything) to the easy claim service and payment, we have been really happy. They did try to do an increase when we moved to a lower cost state (NY to IN), but we got them to move to lower options after a short call with their team. Overall, we have been really happy with the service and customer interactions.
