Wondering if it’s worth it

I recently went through a months-long process of getting reimbursed for my dog’s treatment and I still don’t understand why it got so complicated. Nationwide requested the last year of medical records for my dog, and when I submitted the records as instructed they opened a new claim as if I was requesting benefits for those visits. In the end I had several claims denied due to insufficient information, meanwhile I had provided all documents available to me and Nationwide claimed they had tried to reach out to my vet for more info without success. When I asked my vet’s office they said they had not been contacted, but contacted Nationwide themselves and were able to help me get the whole thing sorted out. However, as a result I believe Nationwide added additional preexisting conditions for my dog which I believe were a mistake, and now I have to put time and effort into sorting that out. I have been very frustrated with my Nationwide pet insurance experience so far.

So fortunate to have found nationwide pet insurance

I've never had a pet before and I had NO idea how $ it was. Nationwide is the only way I am able to keep him- I could not afford 100% of vet visits out of pocket. I am also so thankful for a SUPER easy claim process, and (so far) helpful customer service), AND that it's payroll deductible. AND helps cover WELLNESS costs!

Having such a good pet insurance gives me ease of mind when taking Alfie to the vet.

Excellent Service

We had a prior insurance company that one day stopped writing insurance in Florida. After some research and consultation with USAA, we found Embrace which is a referral. While every insurance company has issues, we have been very happy with the speed of processing and the extend of coverage. While we hope we won't need to hit the limits of the policy, we have peace of mind.

Best thing I ever did for my dog

We got our yellow lab mix at 4 months. Right around that time, my sister-in-law got her own black lab mix, who went on to eat a sock and require surgery within weeks of adoption. I decided right then to get insurance for Cooper through Healthy Paws. I kid you not, I feel HAPPY every month when I see that charge hit my credit card because the support we've received from Healthy Paws has been unbelievable. They've paid for Cooper's numerous dietary indiscretions (really numerous!), the discovery and treatment of his hip dysplasia, and even the root canals he needed for his excessively worn-down canines (from too much playing ball with sandy toys, we guess). Every time I file a claim I think, "this is it, they'll cancel us" and instead I get a check and a friendly email from them inquiring about Cooper's recovery. I have been in the vet's waiting room so many times listening to tearful owners wrestle with painful decisions because of affordability. Healthy Paws takes that out of the equation and you can get care for your pet like the family member he or she is. Buy this insurance, and I hope you have better luck with your dog's health than we have, but you'll be grateful to have them backing you.
