Nationwide has been covering my bull-mastiff since he was about a year old. He was mostly fine the first 2 years, but this past year he has had a number of ailments and we are now fighting a staph infection. It has been going on for months, and not one issue with my claims. I simply scan the vets invoice and submit the claim on line. I have been reimbursed within a week on every single claim, no questions asked. Fantastic job by Nationwide!

Amazing Customer Service and Prompt Reimbursement for Claims
I have been a Healthy Paws customer for a few years. The claims process is very easy and convenient since I can submit pictures of my invoices via the Healthy Paws phone app. I had not incurred significant pet expenses in excess my plan year deductible until recently. I paid the vet on a Wednesday evening and submitted pictures of my receipt and itemized invoice via the Healthy Paws phone app the same night. The claim was processed on Thursday and I received a direct deposit reimbursement on Monday. Their quick processing time surpassed my expectations! In addition, I received a personalized follow-up email from Healthy Paws to check in on my pet. Worrying about a sick pet is stressful enough. I did not have to worry about the financial burden of the ER bills thanks to Healthy Paw's efficiency in processing my reimbursement.

Claim Process Cumbersome
customer service is great. I typically have to call each time I want to submit a claim because something either isn't clear or I can't find information online. The claim process really does need improvement. The online form submission didn't work and the whole "form" process is old and should be updated to an online form and then attach the bills. Also, the need for all the diagnosis codes, etc should not be for me to complete; it's too complicated and time consuming for the customer. The vet bill should be enough information. The overall process is cumbersome, complicated, involves too much time and too much information. Thank you, Chris

Best Decision for Our Pets
We have Healthy Paws insurance for all four of our pets - two dogs and two cats. Filing a claim is VERY easy (especially if you use the app) and reimbursement for services is very fast. We have had nothing but POSITIVE EXPERIENCES from Healthy Paws for every claim we've submitted. It was clear from the beginning what was covered (and what wasn't). For us, we wanted insurance to cover any major illnesses or extensive ER visits - we knew that checkups, dental cleanings, vaccines and pre-existing conditions would not be covered. If you've ever taken a pet to the ER vet, then you know those bills add up quickly! I can't say enough good things about having this insurance for our animals! It allows us to make medical decisions for our pets based on what is the right treatment for them, and not based on how much it costs. Our 6 year old dog was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year, and because we had pet insurance, we were able to give her the care she needed to make a full recovery...a year later she is living life like a puppy - full of energy, happy and healthy. Thank you, Healthy Paws, for making it possible for us to give our pets the care they need and deserve. I'm recommending you to all my pet friends.
