Eye Injury
My dog unexpectedly was poked by weeds or something similar by an eyelid. It became infected. Pet's Best covered 90% of the vet visit and medication. It's the unexpected issues that are covered I am glad for coverage.
Experience with Metlife Pet
I have had no issues with Metlife Pet. Claims have been handled in a timely manner with maximum reimbursement. Only thing that hold be included is microchipping since that is highly recommended. We got our malamute at almost 4 months old and he had continuing problems with parasites and required treatments over 3 months. Vet said it might have bn the warm weather where he was born not killing off the worms. Metlife paid all the claims and has continued to provide excellent claim service. I would recommend them over other providers that I've had.

Another claim
This is just another claim for my Golden Retriever who loves to get into trouble. The claim process is easy and fast and the reimbursement is more quick than before. I sent the claim 02-12-25 and got the deposit on my account on 02-24-25, used to take around a month before.
It's always a hit or miss
I really don't trust this insurance company. Every time I submit a claim, you'll never know if they'll cover the costs or come back with something new and denying the reimbursement. They've changed my policy twice and both I've proved that they were wrong. I really don't recommend to anyone and look for a serious insurance instead of Petsplusus.
Pet's Best is a scam
Pet's Best pet insurance is a scam. They covered nothing for my dog's multiple visits to the vet for an ear infection. They called it a "pre existing condition" because she had an ear infection years ago. Do not waste your money with this company.

Claims Review
"I filed an online claim with PetsBest for my dog's eye surgery. He had two cherry eye conditions repaired. I filed about a week after the surgery on a Friday afternoon. Within an hour or so I received email confirmation of my claim. By Sunday I received a detailed explanation of benefits summary explaining how my claim was handled. All of my claim went to either my co-payment or to my deductible. I fully expected that based on the coverage I selected and am paying for. I am completely satisfied with PetsBest in this instance, and I'll go on to say that all my claims over the past two years I've been covered have been handled in the same professional way. I would like to see the PetsBest EOB give me the total amount of my deductible I have reached after each claim, but that is not a dealbreaker given all the positives. knee surgery
Our dog had to get knee surgery. We provided Pet's Best with the detailed bill for the surgery and drugs and we were reimbursed in less than a week

Its been Good
Clain Process is pretty simple, send in the required documents, and wait for the reimbursement to post in my account. Processing is a little slow, shows 5-10 days, has taken a little longer than that, maybe 15 days +/-. questions answered. I haven't used the online vet, our vet is 24-hour animal hospital. has some good articles and good notifications. Metlife has been a good experience so far.
Easy Claim Process
It was very easy to submit the claim by taking pictures of the paperwork with my phone and sending them through the app. It did take a while to get a response but it may have been due to getting paperwork from the vet. Overall I am happy with the process
