Great coverage, accurate reimbursement- No hassle, no nonsense, no surprises

I highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance. We have been impressed by the coverage, the fact that they have covered everything exactly as they advertise, and they pay claims quickly and accurately. Our English Lab, Misty, discovered snow at the end of 2016 and injured her leg. At less than a year old she required a $4000+ surgery which Embrace honored fully. The surgeon indicated that the opposing leg would likely require the same surgery. It did! We put the surgery off until Mom passed, as Misty was a great and comforting companion to Mom in her final hours. I kept all the wellness and injury/surgery related receipts for our second year of coverage and submitted them to Embrace along with my summary of what I felt was covered. The covered all I claimed (and even more when they caught a mistake in my summary). The Explanation of Benefits statements were accurate and complete. I was fully reimbursed within 2 weeks, including coverage for this second $4000 surgery. No hassle, No nonsense, No surprises. I wish I could say the same for my family health insurance.

very satisfied with the current policy and response time

I had 5 dogs in total. Lost 2 that had currently had insurance and rescued 3 more. All of my dogs are covered. The reimbursement structure is fair and reasonable and the TAT for when they complete a claim is quick. If I had questions regarding my policy or claim activity I always received a quick response. I have researched other companies and I am very happy with ASPCA.

I was hoping that the specialist...

I was hoping that the specialist would tell me I would receive an email to inform me of the claim status I submitted once it was in your system and being processed. I guess that is not the 'process' in how you do things.

Thankful for Embrace!

Henry was diagnosed with lymphoma in December and, after diagnosis and 2 rounds of chemo, has already racked up over $1,500 in vet bills. Embrace has reimbursed over $1,000 so far. I've had a policy for Henry for 6 years and, until last month, he had never had a claim. To go from nothing to this extreme of weekly chemo is rough - but knowing that I have Embrace to help with the bills has been a lifesaver. With 2 young children, I don't know if I would have been able to say yes to the best treatment without Embrace.

Overly broad preexisting policies.

Although I have never at this point reached my deductible, I feel the company would fulfill their obligation in a timely manner. As stated above I think their presisting policies are too strengthen, once you have a condition it is not unusual to always request that it be checked on a vet visit, with Embrace that is enough to get the entire visit cost rejected. I think the determining factor should be treatment not just checking.

I'll never own another pet without Embrace

As the owner of 2 Great Danes and a policy holder since 2012, I cannot emphasize enough how much I love Embrace! My 5 year old Great Dane was diagnosed with IBS a year and a half ago, and the claims process was seamless for each of his multiple visits for blood work, ultrasounds and specialists. To add to the awesomeness of Embrace, my newest addition, an 8 month old Great Dane puppy, was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia requiring her to have costly orthopedic surgery. In times like this, having Embrace has given me the peace of mind of knowing I can provide the necessary treatments and care without worrying about finances. I'll never own another pet without Embrace!

Amazing turnaround time in handling claims

I never would have thought that my puppy would have really needed pet insurance, but got it anyway. He ended up getting meningitis within the first few months of its life. Trupanion handled the claim right away, which was in the thousands. 3 1/2 years later, my dog needed medical help. Ended up in the hospital. Once again, I had a check in my hand to cover most of the care within 2 weeks, and this was during the Christmas/New Year's holiday. I can't begin to say how pleased I am with Trupanion.

If there was a rating higher than 10, I would have selected it!!!!!

If there was a number higher than 10, I would have selected it. Pets Best is by far the best insurance company I have EVER dealt with, human, auto or pet. Claim process is easy, explanation of benefits is clear and concise. Payments are prompt and automatically deposited into my account. My pet Bubba had tail amputation surgery, spinal issues, melanoma surgery and treatment. Pets best covered all of his needs and a Pets Best Customer Service Rep even did research for me to see if my pets treatment would be covered. Can't say enough about them. I would never use or recommend anyone else!!! Thanks Pets Best!

Terrific Customer Support

We have been using Embrace for years! Most recently Molly, my boxer was diagnosed with a small mast cell tumor. It involved several visits to our vet, a veterinary oncologist, and major surgery. Embrace pre approved the surgery, so when it was time for the procedure, we knew it would be covered. Embrace staff was with us all the way!

Godsend to have as insurance for the eventuality of accident or illness.

We got off to a bumpy start with a claim denied, which would have counted toward the deductible. It was denied as pre-existing condition and denied again on appeal. That was several years ago and fortunately, they were wrong, it was not a pre-existing or permanent condition and he hasn't had it since. After that the only problems that I have had are issues with Wellness vs Accident/Illness. The Wellness is an additional coverage that is really kind of like a health care savings account that covers things like Rx food and other things not covered by the usual insurance. You don't have to get it when you purchase the insurance for accident & illness which is the most important to have. It was 9 months after I had insurance that my cat was diagnosed with CKD which is a progressive disease. I chose to have stem cell therapy which was not covered for CKD by any insurance that I knew of. It was my choice to do it to improve his outcome. The vet at the time told me that it saved his life as it was progressing rapidly. It improved but two years later he got pancreatitis and IBD which frequently accompanies pancreatitis. The exams, frequent blood work to monitor his condition and even acupuncture is covered by Embrace. I call it Kitty Medicare because I chose the 80/20 plan. I strongly recommend every pet owner buy insurance for their pets and certainly by the time they are eight or nine it is essential and could make the difference in you being able to provide medical care for your pet or not. Emergency care is extremely expensive and one visit to the Animal ER will can make up for years of premiums. I researched the various companies before I purchased and compared them for a couple of months before deciding on Embrace. The Embrace staff get back to you within a day when you contact them and are helpful. The only other issue I have with Embrace is that my invoices are for pretty much the same things; exams, medicine, labs, acupuncture and each invoice is treated as a distinct claim (I usually file a couple together) and it's as if it is the first claim and the adjusters are starting from scratch. It takes about two weeks for the claim to be paid even if you have 2 for the exact same treatment for the exact same condition. Sometimes longer if they contact the vet for additional information. I know pet owners with other insurance and Embrace is one of the best.
