Art was great

Art was great. He helped me find another policy. I am upset that the coverage my dog received is no longer available. Genetic coverage and internal things like cancer not covered. As pets age things happen and now no coverage for those things. You forget about the senior dogs. Do better.

Gonna switch pet policy

They take forever to process claims. Never received any reimbursement on my 2024 claim. With my ‘25 claim, I only received a small fraction of my claim amount. On the annual wellness claim I got $30. According to policy coverage, I should have received more. Then my dog’s dental was only partially reimbursed. I don’t understand and I’m not very happy. Having no policy would have actually been more cost effective leaving money in my pocket!

Disappointing Experience With Wellness Visits

Even when a visit is clearly a routine wellness check, PetsBest treats it as an illness if the vet prescribes or even mentions any medication. They don’t care about the explanation —just the medication name on the paper. This leads to denied claims and unnecessary headaches. Really disappointing and frustrating experience.

Worst to do they won't cover nothing…

Worst to do they won't cover nothing your just paying for company to get rich and to pick and choose who claims get prioritized first so it not worth it it's better to go with private incrance or a life insurance for yourself u can use your own life insurance policy like a loan it's mostly for the poor this company make u think stuff will be done but your not safe u will see jus wait to see how many stuff is refused get a credit card or life insurance for yourself and u can always call to get money for your life insurance way better option

Don't Buy Unless You Are OK with Being Left High and Dry

I have had this insurance for 10 years, since my cats were young. It was good insurance, until it wasn't. I planned to keep this insurance for the lifetime of my cats. Then, Nationwide decided they didn't want to operate in Florida anymore because it's too expensive for this huge corporation. Now I have to find replacement insurance with another company for two senior cats with conditions that developed during Nationwide's coverage that *would* have been covered if Nationwide didn't pull out of Florida, but now won't be covered by my next plan as "preexisting conditions", just when I needed the insurance the most. Beware, do not sign up for this insurance because they just might decide your state is too expensive next and your pet's most important conditions won't be covered. Adding insult to injury, they denied my final claims. The plans listed an effective date through the 2nd. "January 2nd" is the date listed everywhere on the app and on the website. One cat was due for his one month follow up after radioactive iodine treatment and the other was due for his 6 month recheck of his kidney values, so I took them both on the 2nd. Guess what - both claims were denied by Nationwide who now states that actually January 1st is the last day of the policy because January 2nd they're no longer effective. If that's the case, the website and app should say January 1st! Every expiration date I've ever come across in my life lists the last day of the effectiveness of the policy, plan, service, card, etc., and you have until the end of the day to use it. I begged them to help me, to see if there was anything they could do, because this was not clear at all and the entire situation of the company pulling out of Florida is not my fault. They were rude and cold on the phone, saying there's nothing they can do. Of course there is something they can do, they can cover the claims, but they don't want to. Thanks Nationwide for leaving me in tears and leaving my cats vulnerable to their now "preexisting" conditions in their senior years. I am so sorry to all others who are in the same position as me in Florida and hope no one else in other states has to experience this, but I wouldn't risk it.

Great Coverage

I've had Healthy Paws for my dogs since 2017. Each time I needed their help, they were right there and covered the costs as outlined in my policy. The price for the policy is very much worth it.
