Claim Paid within 2-weeks minus deductible and co-pay

Harper, our 11-month old Belgian Fur-Missile sustained a cut on her lip and we had to rush her to the vet for stitches under sedation and post op care; needless to say the bill came in high; submission of the vet receipt was easy, and the claim, minus the deductible and co-pay, was processed within 2 weeks and reimbursed directly to my checking acct. Very pleased and now I don't have to make a life or death decision on money

"I was concerned that a previous unrelated hospitalization would be used as an excuse not to pay the claim. I spoke with an agent before I bought the policy if this would be an issue and was told no but there are no guarantees. I was very pleased that this was in fact the case. It is a great ease of mind that I don't have to decide whether my beloved Daisy lives or dies based upon money.

So grateful for Pets Plus Us

This is our 4th pet with insurance with Pets Plus Us. When we switched our bulldog to Pets Plus Us after having a bad experience from a former provider, he already had pre-existing conditions so many things were not going to be covered. But we knew up front and the low premiums made the peace of mind worth it though we really didn't file very many claims. We added our 2 year old french mastiff who was very healthy but near the end of her life, had a knee surgery and then seizures which required hospitalization. All of her claims were paid promptly and without question. At her passing after only 8 short years, Pets Plus Us had paid over 15,000 of claims. Fast forward to our male French Mastiff who again is very healthy but ended up needing some expensive tests and then nares surgery. ALL his claims were covered and paid within a week or two of submission. He hasn't needed anything since and he's a happy healthy boy. Lastly our newest girl has had some complex health issues that were completely unexpected. She has had two surgeries and we were reimbursed the same week for each. That is absolutely unheard of! Their customer care specialists are so sweet and kind and always available if we have questions. I highly recommend Pets Plus Us. They underwrite up front so you know if you have exclusions and they aren't looking for ways not to pay. Awesome company!

They try everything not to pay you

My dog had. Diarrhea when I first got him because I was changing his food and they now called the chronic so anytime he has diarrhea. They have a get out of jail card for free and don’t have to pay the claim They’re calling a pre-existing. Really? You submit a claim now they want soap notes. I have had Pet insurance with everyone of my pets for the past 20 years I have never had to go hunting for notes from the vet. They say they’re going to pay within five or 10 business days but it’s more like two or three months if they pay you. They want to try anything they can not to pay claim even though it’s clearly noted that the claimant should be paid. It’s something that’s covered.

Quickest Claims Process

I have had Pets Beat insurance for both my dog and cat since we adopted them as babies. We’re going on 5 and 3 years respectively for both of them. I’ve had all my claims processed so quickly and efficiently with every claim I’ve made- surgeries, ER visits, and other illnesses. They are really the best in pet insurance!

horrible expereince

I had healthy paws years ago for our previous pets and it was great, but I got it for our 2 new cats and so far it is has been horrible. Every single claim they reject for reasons that don't make sense. (They either say it is preventative when it is a test for symptoms) or they say it was during our waiting period when it was weeks after. Or when I send vet records (what the vet gave us) they say it isn't the correct records. Clearly just trying to give the run around and not pay. Really disappointed.
