I have had VPI for less than a year and in that time my young golden retriever overdosed on motrin and had kidney failure and a very expensive bill. Unfortunately the incident reimbursement was less than half of what the bill was. This made the premiums actually not worth the money. However, the reimbursement for a minor injury a few months later was 100%, which helped. VPI was very responsive and efficient and I commend them on that. The major problem I have with them is the limited scheduled reimbursement which does not necessarily reflect the cost of the actual illness, as not all illnesses follow the same course.
