I enrolled my two sister puppies immediately upon "purchase". They were just tiny babies. They are now 7 years old. They have had various short term illnesses and injuries that cost a lot in northern California. I have not realized any significant relief from acute, diagnostic, or preventative care. The superior plan premiums are $1200/year for both, $50 deductible per incident, but the maximums, care plan, etc. do not make it worth while. If you have a young pet, get it insured as soon as possible, but find a plan that you can afford if you have an incident that requires x-rays, overnight stays, and lab work. We only get about 10% back after this company parses the bills. Good luck!
