Very questionable customer service

A vet whom I admire and trust suggested VPI to me and I must admit I did NO research before enrolling my Sophia Gianna. Right off the bat, I was oversold a wellness policy which cost more to buy that I would receive if my cat required EVERY item it lists (which she does not). I was told that the total policy, their top of the line, would cover 100% of my costs. A misrepresentation. Before purchasing, I advised VPI that I intended to use the policy immediately for a dental cleaning. I was told "no problem ... just wait until the waiting period concludes". I did, filed my claim and it was denied for a pre-existing condition. Many attempts were made to resolve the situation, my vet even made a phone call to them to confirm that there was NO pre-existing condition. We interacted for over 3 months. In my opinion, the staff is trained to misrepresent. The matter is currently with the Insurance Commission and the Better Business Bureau.
